Top Tips to Keep Cool ☀️

With temperatures set to soar over the coming days, it's important to take extra care of yourself, your loved ones and your pets.

Here are our top tips for staying safe in the heat:

💧 Drink plenty of water throughout the day
🏠 Keep curtains and blinds closed during the hottest hours
🌳 Stay in the shade and avoid direct sun where possible
👕 Wear lightweight, loose-fitting clothing
🍉 Enjoy cold meals and snacks where appropriate
📞 Check in on older relatives, neighbours and friends

🐾 Make sure pets have access to fresh water and cool, shaded areas
🚶‍♀️ Avoid walking dogs during the hottest part of the day

A little extra care can make a big difference during periods of hot weather. Stay safe, stay cool and look out for one another. 💙

MUD, SWEAT AND SMILES AHEAD! 💙🏃‍♂️

This Saturday at 12pm, a fantastic team of 12 from Bluebird Care will be taking on the Bristol Pretty Muddy 5K in support of Cancer Research UK! 🎗️

They're swapping their usual uniforms for muddy trainers and preparing to crawl, climb, slide and splash their way around the course – all to raise money for life-saving cancer research.

We're incredibly proud of our team for stepping up to support such an important cause, and we know they'll tackle every muddy obstacle with the same determination and teamwork they show every day.

If you'd like to cheer them on and support their fundraising efforts, we'd be hugely grateful for any donation, big or small. Every pound helps Cancer Research UK continue its vital work.
