This one takes courage to sit with. When alcohol becomes the primary way to switch off, to feel comfortable in social situations, to get through the week — that’s not a drinking problem in isolation. That’s an anxiety problem that found a solution. And the reason it’s hard to stop is because it works, at least in the short term. The brain learned “this makes the feeling go away” and now it reaches for it automatically. The prompt underneath — the anxiety, the social fear, the need to numb — that’s what needs addressing. In a 1:2:1 session we find what you’re actually trying to regulate. No judgment — just honest work. DM me directly. Link in bio. 🧠
