A little bit about me

*I am a qualified integrative therapist to Post graduate level
*I have experience with working with many different communities including LGBTQ, GSD and neurodivergant clients.
*I am an accredited member of the NCS, a membership body and as such are bound by their code of ethics. I offer
*50 minutes sessions
*On a weekly basis/fortnightly or four weekly basis
*short term therapy (6-12 sessions)
*longer term therapy (12 sessions +).
*online sessions
*Concessionary sessions

How I work
Our first session will be just us getting to know each other a little better. It will involve:
*Discussing why you want to have therapy and why you want it now.
*What you want to get out of our sessions together.
*Discussing Confidentiality
*Discussing Boundaries

I believe each person is a unique individual and should not be pushed into a one style of therapy fits all box. As an integrative therapist I work collaboratively with my clients to tailor sessions to suit their needs. If you have any questions or want to book a session please message me.

Today with the cooler weather I've been out in my garden. Repotting some new strawberry plants, some thyme and deciding where the nepata and salvia plants are going to go. Dave my cat has had his head in the nepata aka catmint a lot so they are going down well.
My garden is a space I feel so lucky to have. I often forget how much better I feel when I am able to get outside especially after I've been up cooped up inside for days at a time because of weather or pain.
It's such a cliche when us therapists say try to get outside if you can even if it's just sitting at your front door for a bit. We say it because it really can help.
Now to practice what I preach a bit more and remember to come out here when those emotions hit.

Yesterday at Bristol Disability Pride Day organised by , I had my first chair tumble after getting a little bold and trying to hold a wheelie. Learning wheelchair skills is definitely a journey, and I'm embracing every moment. I do keep giggling today at the image of my feet up in the air. Laughter is such a tool for healing. It has taken me some time to embrace my imperfections rather than be embarrassed by them, especially when they are witnessed by others. If you have any tips for a beginner, I'd love to hear them.

Had a great time parade, marching with . We won't hide, we show up where and when we can. Not enough spoons to go on to the downs, so hung out with community for a little after the parade. That felt great. Community is so important. Moments of joy and feelings of connection are resilience factors that according to the Minority Stress Theory help with better mental health outcomes. And right now considering the government are actively both anti trans and anti disabled we need all of the resilience factors we can get.
