We had a lovely soirée in the lounge this afternoon! Everyone enjoyed a delicious selection of cheeses with crackers, grapes, olives, and a glass of wine.

Afterwards, we all chose a film to watch together and decided on the classic Singin’ in the Rain, which we rented for the afternoon. It was a wonderful way to relax, socialise, and enjoy each other’s company.

For those who preferred to stay in their rooms, I took the trolley around so they could also enjoy a selection of cheese, crackers, grapes, olives, and a glass of wine, ensuring everyone could be part of the afternoon’s treats. 🍷 🧀

We’ve been creating our own flower arrangements this week! When you’re visiting, be sure to keep an eye out for them—they’re proudly displayed in the dining room. 🌷

We had a delightful day out at a rare breeds farm, where we encountered a variety of animals, including pigs, owls, rabbits, goats, Angora goats, miniature palomino ponies, tortoises, giant Flemish rabbits, lovebirds, cockatiels, wallabies, guinea pigs, chickens, ducks, and llamas. The range of species was impressive.
We fed all the animals with the recommended food, enjoyed cuddling and stroking them; it was an amazing experience! We also observed the steam train and sat on the platform before treating ourselves to ice cream in the shade. Additionally, we saw a seal in the river catching a fish! We shared many laughs throughout the day. 🥹 it was a lovely scenic walk to the farm and back which again was beautiful.

Today we enjoyed a delivery of exotic fruits for our residents to taste-test, with the challenge of guessing what each fruit was before finding out the answer. It was a fun sensory activity that sparked plenty of conversation and curiosity. A particular favourite was the red banana, with many residents commenting on its deliciously creamy texture. It was wonderful to see everyone trying something new and sharing their thoughts on the different flavours and textures. 🍌🍍🥭

To make the evening even more special, our residents will be enjoying a McDonald’s for dinner as a well-deserved treat. Here’s hoping for a great game… Come on England! 🤞❤️

This morning, we enjoyed a lively sing-along and a fun “Guess the Tune” session! Residents joined in enthusiastically, with some getting up to dance while others danced along from their chairs. There was plenty of laughter, smiles, and singing, and everyone engaged wonderfully throughout the morning. 🌅 🎵 🎤 🎶
