Confession time! 😬

If procrastination were an Olympic sport, I’d definitely be in contention for a medal.🏅🤣

I’ve got the Great North Run coming up in September and, despite knowing it was on the horizon, I’ve really struggled to get started with training this year.

The biggest thing I’ve realised?

Waiting for motivation doesn’t work.

Action creates motivation.

The first run wasn’t perfect. In fact it was flipping hilly! 🙄The second wasn’t either… it helped to have my running buddy with me though ! However, every time I show up, it gets a little easier, just a little!!😉

So, if there’s something you’ve been putting off, maybe today/this week is the time to take the first tiny step.

Six years ago today, 20 people logged on for my very first online class… 💻✨

Back then, it was simply about keeping people — and myself — moving during lockdown. A chance to connect, laugh, have fun, and look after our bodies and minds during a difficult time.

I never imagined where that little online class would lead…

Fast forward to today, and I now run 5 community classes alongside working in local gyms. From strength to mobility, movement to mindset, every session is built with the same goal it started with: helping people feel better through movement.

To everyone who has joined me online or in person over the last six years — thank you.
Thank you for showing up, supporting me, trusting me, and allowing me to be part of your movement journey. ❤️

What started as a way to get through lockdown became a business, a community, and something I’m incredibly proud of.

Here’s to 6 years of movement, laughter, community, and growth… and hopefully many more to come.

We’re a week into Mindful May and this week is Mental Health Awareness Week 💚
The theme is Take Action — so how will you look after yourself or someone you love this week?

After the excitement of launching the summer timetable last week, the universe had other ideas and my family and I were hit with a nasty stomach bug 🤢, so “take action” for me last week, looked like slowing down, resting, sleeping and recovering!❤️‍🩹

This week also marks 6 years since I taught my very first online class during lockdown — it was the beginning of ‘The Real Teija Jones’, now ‘Move with Teija’ ✨

Having experienced my own struggles with anxiety and depression, I know how powerful movement, nature, connection and finding joy in the little moments can be. That’s why I’m so passionate about helping others feel stronger, empowered and better in themselves 💛
