📹 Following our in-depth review of the first season, we simply couldn't miss the continuation of The Pitt series. The second season proved just as vital, shifting its focus from broad ethical questions to the erosion of personal boundaries and medical burnout, and introducing a palliative care patient and a death doula into the storyline.

Looking at the series again through the lens of palliative care professionals, we wanted to highlight aspects that directly relate to their practice: from a patient’s true autonomy to a physician's ability to leave work behind at the end of a shift. By showing how blurred the line is between saving others and self-destruction, this season leaves us with many questions. Yet it offers hope and solidarity, making clear that palliative and emergency care workers, even across continents, face the same challenges.

📹 После детального разбора первого сезона мы просто не могли пройти мимо продолжения сериала «Больница Питт». Второй сезон показался нам не менее важным, поскольку его фокус сместился с общих вопросов этики на тему разрушения личных границ и выгорания медиков, а в самом сюжете появились паллиативная пациентка и доула смерти.

Вновь посмотрев на сериал глазами специалистов паллиативной помощи, мы постарались акцентировать внимание на аспектах, имеющих непосредственное отношение к их практике: от настоящей автономии пациента до умения врача вовремя «закрывать за собой дверь» в конце смены. Показывая, как тонка и размыта граница между спасением других и саморазрушением, этот сезон оставляет много вопросов. И в то же время он даёт надежду и опору, ведь становится очевидно: даже на разных континентах работники паллиативной и экстренной медицины сталкиваются со схожими проблемами.
