Exciting news! We're proud to announce a partnership that's set to make a real difference in our local community.

Walfinch Home Care Bromley & Sevenoaks is now the first official partner of the wonderful Orpington Village Hall Friendship Café Orpington Village Hall Trust. 💙

The Friendship Café is a truly special place, bringing together people living with dementia, their families, friends, carers and members of the local community. Every month, guests enjoy themed activities, refreshments, gentle exercise, entertainment and, most importantly, the opportunity to connect, laugh and make new friendships in a warm and welcoming environment.

We have had the pleasure of working alongside the fantastic team at the café through a number of community events, so becoming their first official partner feels incredibly meaningful. Together, we share a passion for creating inclusive communities where everyone feels valued, supported and connected.

A huge thank you to Louise and all of the amazing volunteers who make the Friendship Café such a special place. Your dedication and kindness make a real difference to so many local people, and we are proud to support you as you continue this wonderful work.

At Walfinch, we believe strong communities help people live well for longer. We look forward to building this partnership and continuing to support people living with dementia, their families and unpaid carers across Bromley and Sevenoaks.

It was a pleasure to welcome Riyad Rahmoune from Fleetwood Heir Hunting Services LTD. to the Walfinch Home Care Bromley & Sevenoaks office last week.

Fleetwood, an independent firm of probate researchers and genealogists, works closely with local authorities and legal professionals across the UK. Their expertise includes genealogical research, tracing missing beneficiaries, family tree verification, intestacies, and supporting Court of Protection solicitors with Statutory Will Applications.

It was fascinating to learn more about the invaluable work that Riyad and the Fleetwood team undertake to support families and professionals through what can often be complex and sensitive situations.

What a wonderful afternoon at the Kind Connections event hosted by KYN Bickley KYN

Our Walfinch team had the pleasure of attending alongside some of our regular Thrive Club (Orpington) members, where we enjoyed a fantastic afternoon filled with laughter, entertainment and great company.

We were amazed by the incredible magic performed by the fabulous Wolf, before enjoying a beautiful performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream by the talented team from Quest Soul Theatre C.I.C. To top it all off, we were treated to a delicious afternoon tea.

A huge thank you to everyone at KYN Bickley for such a warm welcome and for creating an event that brought people together through creativity, conversation and community. It was a pleasure to be part of it, and we're already looking forward to the next one.

Our Business Development Manager, Clare Phillips, who also volunteers as an Alzheimer's Society Dementia Friends Ambassador, delivers these sessions to help our team gain a greater understanding of dementia and how small changes in the way we communicate and support people can make a big difference.

By investing in dementia awareness from day one, we are equipping our carers with the knowledge, confidence and compassion they need to deliver the highest standard of person-centred care to our clients and their families.

A huge congratulations to Financial Planner Simon Bryant, and Michelle and Jessica from Movezone Property, for becoming Dementia Friends. Thank you for taking the time to learn, listen and show your support for people living with dementia and their families.

It is inspiring to see local businesses coming together to make our community more inclusive, compassionate and welcoming. Small actions really do make a big difference, and together we can help ensure that people living with dementia feel understood, respected and valued.

A huge thank you to our fantastic guest speaker, Nima Stepney, Partner at Thackray Williams Solicitors, for joining us at this month's Thrive Club Orpington Thrive Club (Orpington).

Nima shared valuable insights into wills, lasting powers of attorney, trusts, and estate planning, topics that many of us know we should plan for but often put off. Her practical advice highlighted the importance of protecting ourselves, our loved ones, and our wishes for the future.

We were delighted to welcome Darrell from W. Uden & Sons Family Funeral Directors to Walfinch Home Care Bromley & Sevenoaks for a really valuable conversation about having difficult conversations.

In both home care and funeral services, we often support people through some of the most emotional and challenging times in their lives. Knowing how to have honest conversations with kindness, compassion and understanding can make a real difference to the people and families we care for.
