🎃 The scariest thing about Halloween isn't the costumes…

From trick-or-treat to Bonfire Night, these are the 4 risks we see most at this time of year. Swipe to stay safe 👉

1️⃣ Costume fire safety
2️⃣ Choking on sweets
3️⃣ Sparkler burns
4️⃣ Firework distance rules

Save this for Bonfire Night and share it with a parent who needs it 💚

🌙 The clocks go back this Sunday (25 October), and that means darker mornings and evenings for the school run, the commute and the dog walk.
Can drivers actually see you? 👀
🦺 Bright by day, reflective by night
🐕 Light up your dog (and your bike)
🔦 Head torch on, hands free, phone away
📍 Tell someone your route and when you'll be back

🕐 Clocks go back this Sunday — an extra hour in bed 🎉

While you're at it, do the 2-minute safety reset:
✅ Test smoke alarms
✅ Check your first aid kit
✅ Dig out the hi-vis for school runs

What would you find missing from your kit? Be honest 👇

❤️ This Friday (16 October) is Restart a Heart Day.

When someone's heart stops, what happens in the first few minutes matters most — and that's usually down to whoever is standing nearby. Swipe through to learn the 4 steps of CPR 👉

1️⃣ Check response & call 999
2️⃣ Start chest compressions
3️⃣ Rescue breaths, if you're trained
4️⃣ Use a defib

Save this post, share it with someone you love, and if you want the confidence to actually do it — book onto our CPR course this week. Link in bio or here : https://emt-first-aid.trainercentralsite.eu/clientapp/app/course/26793000002004176/course-details

⚡ Challenge: name your nearest public defibrillator without looking.

Couldn't do it? You're not alone. 🙋‍♀️

Most of us walk past one every week without noticing. But if someone collapses in cardiac arrest, knowing where it is could save precious minutes.

👉 Check defibfinder.uk
📍 Pop in your postcode and find your nearest 3
💬 Comment below: how close is yours?

Minutes matter in cardiac arrest. Every minute without CPR and a defibrillator reduces someone's chance of survival by around 10%.

Tag a neighbour who should know where theirs is too 👇

❤️ Heart attack vs cardiac arrest: do you know the difference?

One is a plumbing problem. One is an electrical problem. 🔧⚡

💔 Heart attack: a blocked artery. The person is usually awake and breathing. Call 999, sit them down and keep them calm.

⚡ Cardiac arrest: the heart stops pumping. They collapse and aren't breathing normally. Call 999, start CPR and get a defibrillator.

Knowing which one you're looking at could save a life. Swipe through 👉
