Shoulder pain should not be accepted as simply part of swimming. π
Swimmerβs shoulder can develop when repetitive overhead movements place more strain on the shoulder than it can tolerate. Pain, weakness, fatigue or a noticeable reduction in performance may be signs that the shoulder needs attention.
Early assessment can help identify the underlying cause and guide the appropriate treatment, which may include training modification, physiotherapy, technique correction and targeted strengthening.
