A huge thank you to everyone who joined our CPR Awareness Session this evening, more people in our community now have the confidence to step forward and help save a life❤️

We would also like to offer special thanks to the fantastic Phil Revell and Josh Duckett, who generously volunteered their own time to educate and empower our local community. Your dedication, expertise and willingness to give up part of your day to share these vital lifesaving skills will have hopefully made a real difference👏🏽

We hope this session has made a small but mighty impact, equipping attendees with the confidence to recognise an emergency, call 999 and start lifesaving CPR when it matters most🫶🏼

Do you know what to look for when checking your feet? 🩸

High blood sugar over time can cause nerve damage, which means you might not feel a minor foot injury until it becomes serious❗️

For , save this post and remember ACT NOW — a quick daily foot check that takes just 2 minutes:

🩹 A – Accident: Did you knock or scrape your foot?
🔍 C – Change: New redness, swelling or shape changes?
🌡️ T – Temperature: Is one foot hotter or colder than the other?
⚡ N – New pain: Any new aches, tingling or shooting pain?
💧 O – Oozing: Fluid, weeping or an unusual smell?
🩹 W – Wound: Cuts, blisters, cracks or scratches?
⚠️ Don’t ignore the warning signs.

If you notice any of these, contact your GP practice or specialist diabetes foot team straight away.

🛡️ Safe Places Shropshire, supported by Shropshire Council, Telford & Wrekin Council and West Mercia Police 🚓, provides a network of short-term safe havens for people who may need a little extra support when out and about in the community. 🌟

😊 Whether someone is feeling anxious 😟, confused 🤔, lost 🧭, overwhelmed 💭, or simply needs assistance 🫶, they can come to us for support, understanding and a friendly face. 💙

🌈 Safe Places are especially valuable for people with learning disabilities, autism, dementia, or those who experience anxiety attacks.

We are pleased to announce that, in collaboration with our PPG (Patient Participation Group) and South East Shropshire PCN, we will be holding a Cancer Coffee Morning.
📍Victoria Hall, High Street, Broseley TF12 5EX.
📅Thursday 24th September 2026
⏰09:30-12:30

This event will provide an opportunity for members of the local community to come together for a cup of tea and cake in a warm and welcoming environment, while accessing clear and helpful information about:
🎗️Cancer awareness
💉Screening programmes
🤝🏽Local support services and resources available

We are already scheduled to have our local PCN Cancer Coordinator, Marie Curie, Prostate Cancer UK, Breast Cancer Now and Macmillan in attendance, and we have also reached out to additional local cancer services and charities to help make this event as informative and supportive as possible.

We look forward to welcoming you and working together to support cancer awareness within our local/wider community 💜

🚨 FREE Community CPR Awareness Event 🚨

Join us alongside our local first responders for a FREE adult & children’s CPR awareness event. ❤️🚑

Performing CPR while waiting for emergency medical assistance can greatly increase a person’s chance of survival during cardiac arrest. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn lifesaving skills that could help save a loved one, friend, or member of the community.

🌟 OPEN TO THE WHOLE LOCAL COMMUNITY 🌟
You do NOT need to be registered at the practice to attend.
