❤️🚑 A fantastic day Gallows Close Centre! 🚑❤️

On Friday, we had the pleasure of returning to Gallows Close Community in Scarborough to deliver a Mini Medics session to 20 children. 🌟

The children spent the day learning valuable first aid and lifesaving skills that they can take with them and build upon throughout their lives. 🩹🫀

It was brilliant to see how enthusiastic and engaged they were, and watching their confidence grow throughout the day was fantastic! 👏😊

We’d also like to give a huge shout-out to Gallows Close Community for the amazing work they do. ❤️

Gallows Close Community is a charitable organisation that looks at everyone who uses the Centre as equals. They recognise that people may need some immediate support, but also have skills and enthusiasm that can be developed for the benefit of their wider community. 🙌

We’re really proud to be able to support organisations like Gallows Close and help give children the skills and confidence that could one day make a real difference in an emergency. 🚑❤️

Thank you for having us back — we can’t wait to return! 😊👏

Here’s what they learnt:
🩹 Checking a first aid kit
📞 Calling the emergency services
🛌 Recovery position
🫁 CPR
❤️ Finding and using a defibrillator (AED)
😮 Helping someone who is choking
🤕 Bandaging injuries
⚡ What to do if someone has a seizure
💨 Asthma awareness and treatment

A massive THANK YOU to Lauren and her team for inviting us back for the 4th year running! 🙏 Being able to work with one of our very first clients year after year means so much to us.

Every child went home with:
📖 An activity book
🏅 A certificate
🩹 Plenty of bandages!
😊 And, most importantly, the confidence to help someone in an emergency.

Teaching children first aid is one of the most rewarding things we do. You never know when these incredible young people might save a life! ⛑️
