Trying to get the most recent yoga social sessions filled has been a journey to say the least so I've made the decision to cancel next weeks session in Linlithgow as well.

There are some more changes coming up for me in the next month too so I'm going to pause the yoga chaos for a while until there is a little less chaos in general.

SESSION CANCELLATION

Unfortunately I’m having to cancel the planned social session on Saturday 30th in Winchburgh. The Linlithgow session for the week after, Saturday 7th October still has plenty of spaces :)

SATURDAY YOGA SOCIAL LINLITHGOW UPDATE

As part of this month’s session I’m delighted to announce we’ll be joined by .jones_yoga for our pranayama practice. Gareth is an Edinburgh based yogi who leads a range of practices including a morning online pranayama/breath work session.

Gareth will help us explore a little bit of yogas history and philosophy as well as taking us through a pranayama sequence. Pranayama is an often overlooked part of yoga, including by me so I’ve made the choice to bring someone who can help us explore it properly. It’s also very much an area of yoga where you need no experience or physical skills to take part in either.

We’ll be bringing chairs, walls and whatever else we can find to our Social Yoga sessions in Winchburgh and Linlithgow.

Taking a more workshop style approach we’ll look at how we can use our surroundings beyond the mat to make our asana practice a different experience. For some it may make a physical practice feel more accessible. At the same time we can also use it to deepen our practice but either way the session will suit if this is your first yoga practice or your five hundredth.

Lovely Lindsey has invited me to cover her session on Monday 4th September at in Bonnybridge. We start at 10am with some gentle chair yoga. Just drop me a note if you’d like to join in

You can now book into the next Saturday Social Yoga session on Saturday 30th at Winchburgh Community Centre. Book in via the website in our bio and go to "Book a class".

If you're joining us for the first time you'll be asked to create an account and fill in a short questionnaire which just helps me better understand your needs.

Regular users of our booking website might also need to change the date in the top tight corner per the wee screenshot, because lets be honest we've never usually this organised this far in advance!

Another brilliant session of Saturday Social Yoga today. We moved ourselves, talked about yoga bingo being a westernised creation far from the roots of yoga but how not knowing what’s coming is good for all of, and agreed the patriarchy gave some of us bad backs and flat feet.

I’ll be confirming the date for the next session in the next few days and looking forward to it being as enjoyable as todays
