There is a calmer first step. Open Mental Health offers support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to ensure that anyone struggling with poor mental health can access the right support at the right time.

The General Practice Iceberg

When our waiting room is quiet, it can look like we're not busy.

In reality, appointments are only the tip of the iceberg of the work that the practice does to support your patient care.

Behind the scenes, our team is:
âś… Reviewing test results
âś… Processing prescriptions
âś… Making referrals
âś… Reviewing hospital letters
âś… Supporting patients with long-term conditions
âś… Giving care to frail, elderly and patients at the end of life
âś… Completing medication reviews
âś… Safeguarding vulnerable patients
âś… Delivering vaccinations and so much more

A quiet waiting room doesn't mean a quiet practice.

We're always working to support your care.

Starting tomorrow, amber and yellow heat-health alerts have been issued across most of the country. They are in place for the 29 and 30 July.

Some people – particularly the elderly, very young, or those with existing health conditions – face a real risk to their health and need to take steps to keep cool.
