Silence in therapy isn’t “nothing happening.” It can feel awkward at first, but often it’s where the work deepens.
In those quiet moments, your therapist might be:
✨ Noticing the emotions and signals in the room (yours and theirs).
✨ Regulating themselves so they can stay fully present with you.
✨ Making sure they don’t rush to fix, explain, or interrupt your process.
✨ Allowing you the time to connect the dots in your own way.
So what looks like a pause is actually intentional space — one that can feel rare in everyday life, where someone truly waits with you rather than hurrying you along. It’s harder than you think, but worth the wait 🌱
