Lou 🤍

What finally changed everything for Lou?
Lou Steele

It wasn’t the scales.

Come with me… let’s share this beautiful journey. 🫶

For years, I’d convinced myself that my role in life was to be the “fat, daft friend.”

It feels strange saying it out loud now…

…but when you tell yourself something for long enough, you start believing it’s who you are.

When we found out we couldn’t have children, I lost a significant amount of weight so we could adopt our beautiful boy, Reuben.

We brought him home.

Life happened.

The old habits quietly returned.

And so did the person I’d always believed I was.

Years later, Reuben discovered a love for running.

Every week, I’d stand at the side of the athletics track.

Healthy mums chatting.

Families laughing.

Children running.

I’d clap and cheer him on…

But every week, I’d leave feeling like I was standing on the sidelines of my own life.

I was asking my son to look after his body…

…while I wasn’t looking after mine.

That was the moment everything changed.

Not because I hated how I looked.

Because I realised I wanted to be fully present in my own life.

Looking back now, I can see that my weight wasn’t the heaviest thing I was carrying.

It was anxiety.

Low confidence.

A belief that I needed to hide behind being the funny one.

For years, I acted confident.

Inside, I wasn’t.

Week after week, I never imagined how much I could change the way I felt about myself.

Today, I genuinely feel like I could take on the world.

Not because I’ve become someone else…

Because I’ve finally found myself.

For years, I believed the story I’d told myself.

That I wasn’t capable.

That this was just who I was.

I know now that none of it was true.

I was never meant to stay the person I became just to survive.

I wonder…

What story have you been telling yourself?

And if it isn’t serving you anymore…

Maybe today is the day you start writing a new one. 💛

Congratulations, Lou.

Not for the weight you’ve lost…

But for finding the woman who was there all along.

Love,
Nat ###x

I thought Rhea’s biggest transformation would be the weight.

It wasn’t………😘
Come with me into Rhea’s Journey back to health! 💛 Rhea Pirie

Rhea’s words…..
“I’d spent so many years not looking after myself that absolutely everything knackered me.

I couldn’t keep up with the bairns.

Then, a couple of months into my journey, my wee girl got tired walking around Tesco in Elgin.

I picked her up… carried her around the rest of the shop… and all the way back to the car.

Before, I’d have been lucky to manage a few aisles.
I could’ve cried when I realised.”

That’s what transformation looks like 💛😘

Rhea has lost an incredible:

🤍 1 stone 8 lb
🤍 86 cm
🤍 3.6% body fat

But those numbers aren’t what stopped me.
That story did.

One day, Rhea’s daughter probably won’t remember how much weight Mum lost.

But she will remember that Mum picked her up.
And nothing can replace that. 💛

Congratulations Rhea on an amazing lifestyle change, you have absolutely earned this,

Love Nat ###x

I thought I was taking Dad to an RAF open day…

I didn’t realise I’d spend five hours discovering a side of him I’d never known. ❤️

“Today reminded me that life isn’t measured by how much we achieve.
It’s measured by the moments we choose not to rush………..”

Let me explain!

I picked Dad up at 10:10am… yes, I was supposed to be there at 10! 👀

We headed to RAF Lossiemouth, where Dad proudly served for 17 years as an aircraft engineer.

I thought we’d be there for a couple of hours…

Five hours later, we were still wandering around the base, listening to story after story.

Dad showed me the Jaguar aircraft he spent most of his career working on, but what amazed me most was discovering he’d actually flown in them many times.

He told me about painting the grass green before the Queen visited.

About the incredible flyovers.

About the incredible G-forces pilots experienced as they flew close to the speed of sound.

About how the bombs were transported and loaded onto the aircraft.

Then he laughed as he shared one story I’ll never forget…

His mum was standing outside her house when his aircraft flew low overhead.

He still remembers her saying,

“George, don’t do that son!” 😂

I can only imagine the mixture of pride and fright she must have felt in that moment.

Those are the stories you never read in history books.

We finished the afternoon with pakora and chips, and I realised something…

I didn’t just spend the day at an RAF base.

I spent the day getting to know my dad all over again.

The story I’ll carry with me forever wasn’t really about the Jaguar.

It was about a son who wanted his mum to look up and know he was there.

Years later, there I was… his daughter, standing beside that very same aircraft, listening to him tell me the story with exactly the same pride.

Life has a funny way of coming full circle.

Sometimes we think we know our parents because we’ve known them our whole lives.

But before they were Mum or Dad, they were young people with dreams, adventures, careers and stories waiting to be told.

One conversation.

One afternoon.

One story that you’ll carry with you forever.

If your mum, dad, gran or grandad is still here…

Go and ask them about their life.

Not just what they did…

Ask them who they were.

You might discover the most incredible stories from someone you’ve loved all your life.

If this post reminds just one person to spend an afternoon asking their mum, dad, gran or grandad about their life… then today was worth sharing.

Around here, we don’t just talk about fitness.

We talk about building a life you’ll be proud to look back on.

Come and walk your own pace with me. ❤️

Much love,
Nat x 🥰

The biggest change you’ll ever make won’t show up on the scales.

One uncomfortable thing you decide to try.

One day you choose yourself.

Then one day…

You look back at old photos and realise…

It was never about the weight training.

It was never about the holiday.

It was never about the “perfect” body.

It was about becoming more you.

Stronger.
More confident.
More capable.

And that’s the kind of transformation that never fades.

Maybe confidence was never something you found.

Maybe it was something you built…

One promise at a time.

Apparently, I’ve treated my hair like a mood board this year… 🙃

Brunette.
Burgundy.
Copper.
Cinnamon.

At this rate, my hairdresser Sara Mann deserves a medal! 🤦‍♀️ Sara Mann

But here’s what I’ve realised…

It was never really about the colour.

If you look closely at the photos, you’ll notice something else changed…

As the months went by, the smile got bigger.

That didn’t come from a new hair colour.

It came from working on me.

Turns out confidence is the best thing you can wear… and thankfully, it never needs touching up. 💛

✨ Now I challenge you…

Find 4 photos of yourself from the past 12 months and make your own little Mood Board.

Don’t look at your hair.
Don’t look at your clothes.

Look at your smile.

Has it got bigger?

Sometimes the biggest transformation isn’t the one staring back in the mirror… it’s the confidence behind the smile. ❤️

I’d love to see your Mood Boards in the comments! Which version of me is your favourite? 👇

Be Brave And Take The Shot….…🤔⛳️

If I stood over every golf ball thinking about everything that could go wrong…

• Lift head.
• Swing too shallow.
• Disco dance hips. 💃😂
• Weight on the wrong leg.
• Poor positioning.
• And let’s not forget… the water jets! 😝

…I’d probably never take the shot.

How often do we do exactly the same thing in life?

We overthink.
We analyse every possible mistake.
We tell ourselves we’re not good enough before we’ve even started.

The conversation you’re having with yourself matters more than you think.

Your brain listens to every word you say.

Instead of asking,
“What if I fail?”

Try asking,
“What if I learn something?”

Because confidence isn’t built by getting everything right.

It’s built by being willing to take the shot anyway.

Now, if you’ll excuse me… I’m off to work on those disco dance hips………😉

One of the biggest reasons I encourage strength training…

Your muscles are like a sponge.

Every time you move, lift weights or build muscle, your muscles become better at soaking up glucose (sugar) from your bloodstream and using it for energy.

That means:
• Better blood sugar control.
• More stable energy.
• Less chance of those afternoon crashes.
• A healthier metabolism.

This isn’t just about looking different.

It’s about building a body that works better.

Move every day.
Lift something 3/4 times a week.
Your future self will thank you.

EARLY BIRD CREW 💛

There’s something special about people who choose to show up before the rest of the world wakes up.

No one rolled out of bed feeling 100%.
No one was forced to be here.

They simply made a decision to invest in themselves.

Confidence isn’t built by one workout.
It’s built by the promise you keep to yourself… over and over again.

I’m so proud of every one of you.

Come with me today…

Not because I’ve got life figured out…

But because these small habits have changed mine.

Confidence
Work on yourself every day. Small steps become big changes.

Learn….This one is my favourite!
Spend 10 minutes every day learning something you didn’t know yesterday. One idea can change everything.

Listen
The quietest person in the room is often the most powerful. Listen more than you speak.

Speak
Use your voice. Encourage people. Be honest. Your words matter, even if they don’t want to hear them!

Smile
It’s your greatest asset.

Wishing you a special day ahead, Love to you all. 💛

This photograph reminds me of something I’ve been thinking about lately…

We’re surrounded by people who look like they’re moving faster, achieving more, losing weight quicker, making more money, or building a better life.

It’s so easy to feel like you’re falling behind.

But what if we’ve got it all wrong?

The turtle never worries about the hare.

It doesn’t rush. It doesn’t compare. It doesn’t burn itself out trying to keep up with everyone else. It simply puts one foot in front of the other, day after day.

And eventually… it gets exactly where it was always meant to go.

That’s exactly how I believe real change happens.

Whether it’s losing weight, getting fitter, building confidence, growing a business, or simply becoming the person you know you’re capable of being, it isn’t about waiting for motivation.

It’s about the small things you do consistently.

The workout you almost skipped.

The healthier choice nobody saw.

The walk when you couldn’t be bothered.

The early night.

The glass of water.

The decision to start again after a bad day instead of waiting until Monday.

Those little choices don’t seem like much at the time, but over weeks, months and years, they become something incredible.

The turtle has another lesson for us too.

When life becomes overwhelming, it retreats into its shell. There’s nothing wrong with that. Sometimes we all need to pause, protect our peace, and catch our breath.

Just don’t unpack your bags and live there.

Rest.

Reset.

Then step back out.

Keep moving.

Your journey doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s. You don’t need to race the people around you. You don’t need to prove anything to anyone.

The only person you’re trying to become is a better version of the person you were yesterday.

So if today all you can manage is one small step…

Take it.

Because one small step, repeated often enough, will always beat standing still.

Own your pace. Trust your journey. Keep moving.🐢

Nat 💛
