Been swimming this summer?🏊♀️
👂Got an ear that's gone itchy, achy, a bit muffled a day or two later?
👂That's swimmer's ear.
Here's what's happening: water sits in your ear canal, bacteria move in, and the whole thing gets sore and tender. Tug your earlobe and it stings a bit. Classic sign.
The good news? It's easily sorted, and easily avoided.
After a swim: Tip your head. Let each ear drain. Dry the outside gently with a towel.
What NOT to do: Jam a towel corner or a cotton bud in there to "dry it out." That's exactly how it starts.
If an ear's already sore, blocked or weeping, don't wait it out.
