We are delighted to welcome Alina Orchestra into our home each week for dedicated music therapy sessions with some of those living with us. These wonderful visits bring so much joy and connection to our community, especially through the incredible talents of Sharon, who leads us in song, and Rachel, who plays both the bassoon and piano.
Music has a profound impact on health and well-being, helping to stimulate memories, reduce anxiety, and improve communication for those living with dementia and other cognitive conditions. The beautiful live performances spark immediate engagement, encouraging movement, smiles, and a deep sense of comfort and belonging. Watching our residents interact with Sharon and Rachel each week is truly heartwarming, and we are incredibly grateful for the positive energy and therapeutic benefits this partnership brings to our home.
