This level of pigmentation is one of the most common things I see in clinic, and also one of the most treatable, despite so many people assuming they have to live with it.

After a course of IPL, that deep, concentrated patch on the cheek has dramatically cleared, the surrounding skin tone looks far more even, and the overall complexion appears noticeably brighter and healthier.

IPL works by delivering light energy directly into the melanin clustered beneath the skin's surface, breaking it down so the body can naturally clear it away over the following weeks.

With deeper pigmentation like this, the area often darkens slightly before it fades, which is completely normal and a sign the treatment is doing exactly what it should.

A course of treatments is always what I'd recommend rather than a one-off session, and pairing that with the right Obagi Medical homecare between appointments is what protects your results and stops new pigmentation from forming in its place.

If you've been trying to shift something similar without success, DM me 'IPL' and let's talk about whether it's the right next step for your skin 💌

If someone comes to me asking how to delay a facelift, the first thing I always say is that non-surgical treatments can support, soften, and slow visible ageing, but they are not a replacement for surgery.

What they can do, when chosen well, is help you look fresher and more supported for longer.

The key is being strategic early rather than reactive later, and that's exactly where most people go wrong.

Waiting until the changes feel significant and then trying to correct everything at once will never deliver the same result as a consistent, well-planned approach that starts before things feel dramatic.

The treatments that make the biggest difference in this context aren't always the obvious ones, and how you use them matters just as much as which ones you choose 👉🏼

Delaying a facelift isn't about avoiding change. It's about supporting your face thoughtfully as it evolves.

That skin you see in summer where someone looks healthy, radiant, and well-rested without a trace of foundation isn't always just good genes or a great holiday.

More often than not, there's a treatment behind it.

Skinvive is one of the most requested treatments we offer at this time of year, and it's easy to understand why.

It's not a filler; it doesn't change anything about your face, and there's no sun avoidance required afterwards, which makes it one of the few injectable treatments that work perfectly well in the summer months.

What it does is deliver hyaluronic acid just beneath the skin's surface to deeply hydrate from within, and the result is skin that looks noticeably smoother, more luminous, and healthier in a way that's hard to put your finger on but impossible to miss.

For patients going through perimenopause and menopause, where that loss of moisture and natural radiance can feel sudden, it's become one of the treatments I recommend most consistently because it addresses exactly that change in a way that no topical product can replicate.

Two sessions spaced four weeks apart are the standard starting point, and the results continue to develop over the following weeks as the skin responds.

There's a version of aesthetics that exists in people's heads where you have a treatment, it works, and that's the end of it. The reality is a little different.

Results don't last forever, and that's not a flaw in the treatment; it's simply how the body works. The patients who see the most consistent long-term results are the ones who plan around this rather than being surprised by it.

What maintenance actually looks like, what a realistic plan involves, when to add something new versus when to stay the course, and why what you do at home between appointments matters just as much as what we do in clinic.

If you've been having treatments without a clear sense of what you're building towards, tap the link in bio to book a consultation and let's put a plan together 💌

If you've been covering up thread veins around your nose with makeup and assuming there's nothing that can really be done, this result might change how you think about that.

Thread veins in this area are incredibly common, particularly for those with fair or rosacea-prone skin, and they tend to become more visible over time as the skin thins and the vessels lose their elasticity.

What makes them so frustrating is that no amount of skincare or colour correction actually addresses the cause; it just masks what's there.

This is a real patient result following IPL treatment for facial thread veins around the nose, and the difference in how clear and even the skin looks afterwards is really significant.

Those visible, branching capillaries have largely cleared, the redness has calmed considerably, and the overall complexion looks so much cleaner and more even as a result.

IPL works by delivering light energy directly into the blood vessels, causing the redness, which causes them to collapse and be naturally cleared by the body over the following weeks.

It's a precise, targeted treatment with no real downtime, and results build progressively with each session as the skin continues to clear.

For patients going through perimenopause and menopause, facial redness and visible vessels often become more pronounced as oestrogen levels shift and the skin becomes more reactive, making this one of the most frequently requested treatments I see in clinic.

The advice I'd give a close friend about their skin is the same advice I give every patient who sits down with me at consultation, and I think it's worth saying out loud because it's not always what people expect to hear.

After years of working in this industry, I've formed some very clear opinions about what actually makes a difference and what doesn't.

This is my honest take on all of it, from where to start and what I'd recommend first, to what I'd tell you to be cautious about and the one habit that underpins everything else 👉🏼

If any of it resonates, tap the link in bio to book a consultation and let's have a proper conversation about your skin 💌

If your skin has been looking dull, flat, and lacking that healthy glow, no matter how consistent you are with your skincare, this is the treatment worth knowing about.

Skinvive isn't a filler; it doesn't add volume or change anything about your face, and that's exactly what makes it so interesting.

It's an injectable skin booster that works by delivering hyaluronic acid just beneath the skin's surface to deeply hydrate and improve overall skin quality from within, and the results are the kind that make people ask what you've had done without being able to put their finger on it.

Skin that looked dull and flat starts to have a natural glow. Fine lines caused by dehydration soften.

The overall texture looks more refined and healthy, and for my patients going through perimenopause and menopause, where that loss of moisture and luminosity can feel sudden, it's become one of the treatments I reach for most consistently.

If you've been managing sun damage with skincare for years and feel like you're maintaining rather than actually improving, there's a very good chance IPL is the missing piece.

It's one of the most underrated treatments we offer, and I think that's largely because people don't think of it first when they're considering how to address sun damage.

They reach for peels, they invest in brightening serums, they try vitamin C religiously, and while all of those things have their place, when the damage is already established beneath the surface, topical ingredients can only take you so far.

What makes IPL so effective is that it works at the level where the damage actually lives. It targets the melanin responsible for brown spots and uneven tone, the blood vessels causing redness and thread veins, and the general dullness that comes from years of accumulated UV exposure, often addressing all of these within the same course of treatment.

The results build progressively and consistently, and patients regularly tell me that people around them have noticed something has changed without being able to identify exactly what.

If sun damage is something you've been trying to shift without getting there, tap the link in bio to book a consultation and let's take a proper look at what your skin actually needs 💌
