That skin you see in summer where someone looks healthy, radiant, and well-rested without a trace of foundation isn't always just good genes or a great holiday.

More often than not, there's a treatment behind it.

Skinvive is one of the most requested treatments we offer at this time of year, and it's easy to understand why.

It's not a filler; it doesn't change anything about your face, and there's no sun avoidance required afterwards, which makes it one of the few injectable treatments that work perfectly well in the summer months.

What it does is deliver hyaluronic acid just beneath the skin's surface to deeply hydrate from within, and the result is skin that looks noticeably smoother, more luminous, and healthier in a way that's hard to put your finger on but impossible to miss.

For patients going through perimenopause and menopause, where that loss of moisture and natural radiance can feel sudden, it's become one of the treatments I recommend most consistently because it addresses exactly that change in a way that no topical product can replicate.

Two sessions spaced four weeks apart are the standard starting point, and the results continue to develop over the following weeks as the skin responds.

There's a version of aesthetics that exists in people's heads where you have a treatment, it works, and that's the end of it. The reality is a little different.

Results don't last forever, and that's not a flaw in the treatment; it's simply how the body works. The patients who see the most consistent long-term results are the ones who plan around this rather than being surprised by it.

What maintenance actually looks like, what a realistic plan involves, when to add something new versus when to stay the course, and why what you do at home between appointments matters just as much as what we do in clinic.

If you've been having treatments without a clear sense of what you're building towards, tap the link in bio to book a consultation and let's put a plan together đź’Ś

If you've been covering up thread veins around your nose with makeup and assuming there's nothing that can really be done, this result might change how you think about that.

Thread veins in this area are incredibly common, particularly for those with fair or rosacea-prone skin, and they tend to become more visible over time as the skin thins and the vessels lose their elasticity.

What makes them so frustrating is that no amount of skincare or colour correction actually addresses the cause; it just masks what's there.

This is a real patient result following IPL treatment for facial thread veins around the nose, and the difference in how clear and even the skin looks afterwards is really significant.

Those visible, branching capillaries have largely cleared, the redness has calmed considerably, and the overall complexion looks so much cleaner and more even as a result.

IPL works by delivering light energy directly into the blood vessels, causing the redness, which causes them to collapse and be naturally cleared by the body over the following weeks.

It's a precise, targeted treatment with no real downtime, and results build progressively with each session as the skin continues to clear.

For patients going through perimenopause and menopause, facial redness and visible vessels often become more pronounced as oestrogen levels shift and the skin becomes more reactive, making this one of the most frequently requested treatments I see in clinic.

If thread veins are something you've been living with and wondering whether they can actually be treated, tap the link in bio to book a consultation and let's take a proper look together đź’Ś

The advice I'd give a close friend about their skin is the same advice I give every patient who sits down with me at consultation, and I think it's worth saying out loud because it's not always what people expect to hear.

After years of working in this industry, I've formed some very clear opinions about what actually makes a difference and what doesn't.

This is my honest take on all of it, from where to start and what I'd recommend first, to what I'd tell you to be cautious about and the one habit that underpins everything else 👉🏼

If your skin has been looking dull, flat, and lacking that healthy glow, no matter how consistent you are with your skincare, this is the treatment worth knowing about.

Skinvive isn't a filler; it doesn't add volume or change anything about your face, and that's exactly what makes it so interesting.

It's an injectable skin booster that works by delivering hyaluronic acid just beneath the skin's surface to deeply hydrate and improve overall skin quality from within, and the results are the kind that make people ask what you've had done without being able to put their finger on it.

Skin that looked dull and flat starts to have a natural glow. Fine lines caused by dehydration soften.

The overall texture looks more refined and healthy, and for my patients going through perimenopause and menopause, where that loss of moisture and luminosity can feel sudden, it's become one of the treatments I reach for most consistently.

If you've been managing sun damage with skincare for years and feel like you're maintaining rather than actually improving, there's a very good chance IPL is the missing piece.

It's one of the most underrated treatments we offer, and I think that's largely because people don't think of it first when they're considering how to address sun damage.

They reach for peels, they invest in brightening serums, they try vitamin C religiously, and while all of those things have their place, when the damage is already established beneath the surface, topical ingredients can only take you so far.

What makes IPL so effective is that it works at the level where the damage actually lives. It targets the melanin responsible for brown spots and uneven tone, the blood vessels causing redness and thread veins, and the general dullness that comes from years of accumulated UV exposure, often addressing all of these within the same course of treatment.

The results build progressively and consistently, and patients regularly tell me that people around them have noticed something has changed without being able to identify exactly what.

If sun damage is something you've been trying to shift without getting there, tap the link in bio to book a consultation and let's take a proper look at what your skin actually needs đź’Ś

If there’s one treatment that surprises patients with how much it can do using nothing but their own biology, it’s PRP. And it’s one of the few treatments that draws entirely on you to work 🩸

We take a small sample of your own blood, spin it down to concentrate the platelets, and re-introduce that platelet-rich plasma back into the skin. Those platelets are packed with growth factors, the same ones your body uses to heal itself, and once they’re delivered where they’re needed they signal the skin to repair, regenerate and build fresh collagen from within. Nothing synthetic, nothing added. Just your own healing response, concentrated and put to work.

What makes PRP so versatile comes down to how many concerns it quietly addresses at once.

It’s one of the best options we have for the under-eye area, where the skin is thin and so many treatments simply aren’t suitable. It improves the dark, hollow, crepey look that makes people appear tired, working on the quality of the skin itself rather than masking anything.

It’s also exceptional for overall skin quality across the face, softening fine lines, refining texture and bringing back a genuine radiance that comes from healthier skin, not a temporary glow.

And it’s become one of our most valued treatments for the scalp, where those same growth factors stimulate the hair follicles, strengthen what’s already there and support thicker, healthier growth over a course.

Here’s what a course of PRP delivers over time:

âś… Fresher, brighter under-eyes and a more rested appearance
âś… Improved skin firmness, texture and tone
âś… Softer fine lines and a natural, healthy glow
âś… Stronger, denser hair when used on the scalp
âś… Results that keep developing in the months after each session

Because it uses your own blood, there’s virtually no risk of reaction, which is part of what makes it such a beautiful, natural option 🙌🏼

Facial harmonisation is one of those phrases that gets used a lot in aesthetics, but results like this are a really good example of what it actually means in practice.

This patient came to us with slight dimpling and asymmetry of the chin that were affecting the overall balance of her side profile, something she'd noticed for years but never known how to address.

A small amount of carefully placed filler has softened that dimpling, created a smoother contour along the chin, and brought the whole profile into much better proportion with the rest of the face.

This is exactly the kind of treatment I love, because it's not about changing what someone looks like; it's about refining one small detail that's been affecting how balanced and harmonious their face feels as a whole.

The chin plays a bigger role in facial profile than people often realise, and even a subtle correction here can make a significant difference to how the entire side profile looks.

What I'm most pleased with in this result is how natural it looks. There's no sense that anything has been added or changed; it looks like a smoother, more refined version of what was already there.

If there's a small detail about your profile that's been bothering you and you're not sure what could be done about it, tap the link in bio to book a consultation and let's take a proper look together đź’Ś
