Following Legacy Funeral Director, Robert Bush's 20-year sentence, like many across the country, we have been deeply saddened by the recent events in Hull and our thoughts remain with the families affected.

Every family deserves complete confidence that their loved one will be treated with dignity, respect, and the utmost care. We support proportionate regulation that protects families, while recognising the high standards already maintained by independent funeral directors across the country.

SAIF has responded following the sentencing of Robert Bush at Hull Crown Court. Bush was sentenced to twenty years after pleading guilty to 67 offences connected with his operation of Legacy Independent Funeral Directors. Beloved Wife of the late Ivor, much-loved Mum to Lynda, Julie and Wendy, Step-Mum to Fred and Nigel, a dear Mum-in-law to Chris and the late Trevor and Shane, a dear Gran to her 13 Grandchildren and a much-loved Great Gran.

TERRY JAMES RUSSELL

On 19th June 2026, passed away peacefully at North Devon District Hospital, aged 65 years of Bude.

Much loved Dad to Ben, loving Grandad to Laylah, Aryana, Kylan and Koah, dearest Son to Gill and the late Russ, a dear Brother to Johnny, Alan (deceased), Mandy and Tracey, and friend to many.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at The Parkhouse Centre, Bude, on Sunday 26th July at 1.00pm. The family would love for everyone to wear colourful clothing to celebrate Terry's life.
