Our trainees love helping to serve at our Lunchclub on a Thursday.

It helps to build their confidence, practical and social skills.

This weeks menu was Fishpie and Lemon 🍋 tiramisu.

By visiting our cafe Wesley’s at Budleigh and using our catering and purchasing our Frozen meals from Launchpad you aren’t just getting great quality food you are joining us on a mission to help our trainees to learn new skills , find a purpose and belonging and give them the ability they need to find employment.

It’s been an emotional day at Launchpad and Wesley’s at Budleigh today as we said goodbye to our wonderful Mia. Mia has been with us for over four years, starting while she was still in college as a Saturday assistant, becoming full time in the cafe, and most recently completing a Business Administration apprenticeship (which she passed with distinction!). Now it’s time to move on and Mia will start a new job next week in the West Midlands.
Mia we are all going to miss you enormously: your energy, your humour, your compassion and kindness. It’s going to take us a while to get used to being Launchpad without you. But we are also so proud of you: you have worked so hard to get to this point and we are excited for you as you step out into the next part of your adventure. So go with our blessing and know that you are valued, loved and that we are cheering you on.
