☕ A Day of Chatting, Coffee & Refreshments 💕

What a lovely day we’ve had! We enjoyed a visit to a new local café, Dainty’s Kitchen, where the guys gave it a well-deserved 10/10! They thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food, lovely Italian coffee and, of course, the warm and friendly welcome from the ladies there. ☕🍰

This afternoon, it was the ladies’ turn to enjoy some quality time together over coffee and chocolates. Cheryl and Ann shared stories from their pasts, and we all enjoyed sharing memories and experiences together.

There was plenty of laughter, a few emotional moments and lots of wonderful conversation. ❤️ It was so lovely to listen to their memories and stories, and we could really see how much they enjoyed reminiscing and spending this special time together.

Days like these remind us how important it is to chat, laugh, share memories and simply enjoy one another’s company. 🥰

We were so pleased that the weather was a little cooler, giving us the perfect opportunity to head into Norwich for a lovely shopping trip. We enjoyed a delicious pub lunch, while the guys picked up a few bits and pieces. There was plenty of chatting and laughter, and we loved listening to our lovely lady share her stories and memories from her time living in Norwich. A wonderful day enjoyed by all! 🛍️ ☀️ 🍺

Another wonderful Spud Lunch! We were made to feel very welcome, enjoyed a delicious meal and the raffle, and had a lovely catch-up with Justeen and Sue. It was also great that Darren’s niece, Chantel, could join us. A very friendly and sociable afternoon—thank you to everyone who made it so enjoyable. 😊

Troy and I spent some one-to-one time together today. He requested a shopping trip to pick up some pizza, steak, and Chinese ready meals, followed by a coffee. We headed to Emmaus, where we spent time looking around at the various items they had for sale. Troy was particularly interested in one of the paintings and shared his own interpretation of it, which led to an engaging conversation.

Afterwards, we sat outside in the sunshine, where Troy enjoyed a coffee and a bacon roll. He appeared relaxed and content throughout the outing, and it was a positive opportunity for him to make choices, share his interests, and enjoy some time in the community.

Monday one to one time 🕰️

Today we completed one-to-one sessions with residents. Some residents chose to have their nails painted, while others enjoyed a hand massage. Andrew enjoyed looking through a 1970s reminiscence book, which prompted conversation and memories. Una enjoyed having her book read to her and also spent some time reading independently. One-to-one time is important because it provides personalised support, promotes wellbeing, encourages social interaction, helps maintain independence, and allows residents to engage in activities that are meaningful and enjoyable to them. 😃 ❤️

Wow what a hot day 🥵
Today a few of us went to the coast and had a fish and chip lunch then a mc flurry at mc Donald’s, it was lovely sitting in a cool breeze 🐠
Darren has his enthusiasm for painting back so has spent some quite time in his room painting his masterpieces 🎨 lovely to see him enjoying this past time again x
Lots of cold drinks and ice lollies have been on offer today to keep us all cool and hydrated 🍸
