I'd be delighted to share some fantastic news! 🎉

🏅 Greenholme House Care Home has been awarded the Bronze Award in the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS)! 🇬🇧

This national recognition celebrates our commitment to supporting the Armed Forces community and reflects the work we've been doing to become a truly Veteran Friendly care home. From identifying and supporting veteran residents, to training our Veteran Friendly Champions and building strong partnerships with local Armed Forces organisations, we're proud to honour those who have served.

A huge thank you to our incredible team, residents, veterans, families and community partners who have supported us on this journey. This is an important milestone, and we're looking forward to continuing our commitment as we work towards the Silver Award.

Together, we're ensuring that those who served our country receive the recognition, understanding and support they deserve. ❤️

Greenholme House Care Home was incredibly proud to be the Main Stage Sponsor of this year's Yorkshire Day celebrations in Ilkley! 💙💛

Our residents had a fantastic day out, enjoying a stroll around the bustling market stalls, stopping for coffee and delicious brownies, and then taking in the wonderful entertainment on the Main Stage.

One of the highlights of the day was meeting Rombald the Friendly Giant – we even managed to squeeze in a fun photo shoot! 📸😊

A huge thank you to Olicana events for organising another fantastic Yorkshire Day celebration. It was a pleasure to support such a wonderful community event and to see so many people come together to celebrate all things Yorkshire.

🚒 A fantastic community day out! 🚒

On Saturday 25th July, some of our residents enjoyed a wonderful visit to the Ilkley Fire Station Open Day.

There were plenty of smiles as everyone had the opportunity to get up close to the Fire Station's impressive new MAN 4x4 fire appliance, with some fantastic photo opportunities alongside the fire engines! 📸🚒

Our residents also enjoyed meeting the friendly teams from the Police and UWFRA Mountain Rescue, learning more about the vital work they do to keep our communities safe. Supported by a great selection of local vendors and a brilliant community atmosphere, it really was a memorable day for everyone.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the event such a success. We had a fantastic time and are already looking forward to the next Open Day in 2027!

🎉🎂 We absolutely love a good birthday celebration here at Greenholme House! 🎂🎉

This week has been full of smiles, laughter and wonderful memories as residents celebrated with their family, relatives and friends. ❤️

We were treated to some beautiful piano playing, followed by the fantastic Richard and his lovely dog, Honey 🐶🎶, who entertained everyone and brought so much joy to our home.

It's moments like these that make Greenholme House such a special place to live, laugh and celebrate together. 🥰

What a fantastic week we've had – here's to making many more wonderful memories! 💚

🌱✨ From Soil to Summer Blooms ✨🌸

It's amazing what a little love, care, and patience can achieve! 🌼

These photos take you on the journey from the very first groundworks, to planting the seeds, right through to the beautiful summer flowers now bursting with colour around Greenholme House Care Home. 🌺🌻

The gardens have become a wonderful place for our residents to relax, socialise, and enjoy activities in the sunshine. ☀️🪴

You'll also see some lovely moments of our residents making the most of the beautiful weather, enjoying crosswords, quizzes, and great company in the garden. There's nothing better than fresh air, blooming flowers, and plenty of smiles! 💛

A huge thank you to everyone who helped bring our garden to life. It's become a peaceful, colourful space that everyone can enjoy throughout the summer.

What an amazing journey back in time with Howorth Home Guard W28! 🇬🇧

From the vintage jeeps and fascinating memorabilia to the Reveille display, every moment brought history to life. The live music in our garden created such a wonderful atmosphere and brought so much joy to everyone who attended.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along, took part, and helped make today such a memorable event. We loved sharing this special day with you all and can't wait to do it again!
