This year’s theme focuses on building carer-friendly communities - reminding carers that they are not alone, and that support, advice and guidance is available.

Residents enjoyed a lovely creative session making beautiful suncatchers using pressed flowers. 🌸☀️

There was plenty of creativity, conversation, and concentration as everyone carefully arranged the delicate flowers to create their own unique designs. The finished suncatchers looked wonderful shining in the sunlight! ✨

Activities like these are a fantastic way to encourage creativity, relaxation, and meaningful moments together. 💛

We were delighted to welcome Footprints Nursery for another lovely intergenerational visit! 💛🐝📚

The children enjoyed listening to a story read by one of our residents, a retired headmaster, which created such a special and meaningful moment for everyone involved.

Together, residents and children also got creative making colourful bees from recycled toilet roll holders, with plenty of smiles, laughter, and conversation along the way. 🎨✨

These visits are always so heartwarming and bring so much joy to both our residents and the children alike. We are already looking forward to the next one! 😊

What a wonderful occasion as we celebrated 100 years of Thrive with a very special 100th Tea Party! 🎉☕💙

Residents, staff, families, and friends came together to enjoy a lovely afternoon filled with tea, sweet treats, laughter, and wonderful memories as we marked this incredible milestone.

It was a joy to reflect on the years of care, community, friendship, and support that Thrive has shared over the last century. Here’s to celebrating the past, enjoying the present, and looking forward to many more happy moments together.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us today for our “Taste & Choose” Hydration & Nutrition Event 💙
It was wonderful to see our residents, relatives, and staff come together to enjoy tasting regular and decaffeinated tea, coffee, and coffee-flavoured cake, while sharing smiles, conversations, and feedback.

This initiative, delivered in partnership with the LARCH team and supported by PCN guidance, helps promote:

💧 Better hydration
🍰 Improved nutrition for those needing extra calories
🧠 Support for wellbeing, including sleep and comfort for residents living with dementia

Most importantly, it was about choice, enjoyment, and meaningful engagement—and today truly reflected that.

Thank you again to everyone who took part and helped make the event such a success. We look forward to continuing to tailor care around what our residents enjoy most.

From beautiful flower arranging to plenty of laughs, it’s been a fantastic time all around! 🌼💐

The creativity was flowing, and the friendly competition heated up with some lively rounds of balloon tennis—bringing out everyone’s playful side! 🎈🎾

Moments like these remind us how important it is to connect, have fun, and enjoy each other’s company. 😊
