🎶 What a wonderful afternoon we had yesterday at KCH! 🎶

Our residents were delighted to welcome James Vincent back to our home, he entertained everyone with a fantastic selection of songs while playing the keyboard. There was plenty of singing along, smiling, and reminiscing as music filled the home.

With the sun shining, it was a perfect afternoon to sit back, relax, and enjoy the performance.

To help everyone stay cool and refreshed, residents also enjoyed a tasty ice lolly during the entertainment. 🍦🌞

A huge thank you to James Vincent for bringing such joy and music to our home. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon! 💙

☀️ KCH Annual Family Day 2026 ☀️

What an incredible day we had at our annual Family Day on Saturday! It was wonderful to see so many families come together to spend quality time with their loved ones.

Our fantastic BBQ was a huge success, with plenty of delicious food and refreshing drinks for everyone to enjoy. The glorious sunshine made it the perfect day, and the home was filled with smiles, laughter, conversation, and happy memories.

A special thank you to the wonderful Robbie, who kept everyone entertained with a fantastic selection of well known hits. Residents, families, and staff were all singing, dancing, and clapping along - he was an absolute hit with everyone!

Also a huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so special. We loved seeing everyone together and creating wonderful memories.

✨🧁 Baking Club at KCH! ✨🧁

Yesterday Afternoon, some of our residents got together for baking club, where we made some delicious fruit fairy cakes! 😋

As we baked, the ladies shared lovely memories of baking over the years and reminisced about the recipes they grew up with.

Although we had a recipe to follow, it wasn’t long before they decided to take the reins, preparing the cakes the way they had been taught. It was wonderful to see everyone taking turns, sharing their knowledge, and getting involved.

The kitchen was filled with smiles, conversation, and the smell of freshly baked cakes - and the finished fairy cakes were absolutely delicious! 💕🧁

A wonderful morning spent out and about yesterday 🌸🌼

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of taking some of our lovely ladies to the local garden centre. It was a fantastic trip, filled with beautiful flowers, plenty of smiles, and a few great bargains along the way! 🌺🛍

✨ Our residents at KCH have been putting their arts and crafts talents to great use over the past week as they prepare for our Summer Fair! ✨

We’ve been busy creating some beautiful handmade items that will be available to purchase, including these adorable bumblebee tea light holders and hand painted wooden bird feeders. Every piece has been lovingly crafted and is truly one of a kind. 👩🏻‍🎨🎨

There are plenty more exciting craft projects planned over the coming weeks, and we can’t wait to see all the wonderful creations our residents produce.💛

Yesterday at KCH, we tried our hand at something new… indoor golf! 🏌️‍♀️🏌️‍♂️

It took us a little to get the hang of it, but before long the room was filled with laughter, friendly competition, and plenty of smiles! ☺️
Our residents had such a wonderful time that they’ve already asked if we can play it again!

Introducing new games and activities is so important. Not only does it encourage residents to learn new skills and build confidence, but it also helps keep minds active, promotes gentle physical movement, and creates opportunities for socialising, laughter, and making happy memories together.

Here at KCH, we’re always thinking of fresh ideas to keep life fun and engaging for our residents. Whether it’s trying out new games, welcoming new and exciting entertainers to our home, or heading out on a trip somewhere exciting.
We are passionate about creating meaningful experiences that everyone can enjoy.

Our Activities Team have been hard at work over the past week bringing our very own “Jeopardy” game to life, and this afternoon our residents finally got a chance to put it to the test!

We hosted a fun-filled game show afternoon which was perfect in this soaring heat and sunshine! ☀️

Residents were split into teams and worked together to answer a variety of trivia questions, competing to see who could earn the most points. It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved, using their knowledge, problem- solving skills, and teamwork to tackle the challenges.

The competitive spirit certainly came out, and there were plenty of laughs along the way! It was a lovely afternoon full of brain work, team work, and a cheeky glass of wine spritz. 🍷😜

It was fantastic to experience a brand new game together, and judging by how much everyone enjoyed it, we think this will definitely be one to play again! 🎉🧠🏆
