🎶 A wonderful afternoon of music at KCH! 🎶

Last week, we were delighted to welcome Ty Harris back to KCH to entertain our residents with a fantastic selection of songs. 🎤

Ty treated us to some new songs, giving our residents the chance to hear something a little different - and they absolutely loved it! There was plenty of singing along, smiles and wonderful moments shared together. 🥰

Our residents enjoyed Ty’s performance so much that we’ve already re-booked him to return at Christmas, and we can’t wait!

At KCH, we’re passionate about providing our residents with a variety of activities and entertainment. We believe that staying socially active, trying new experiences and getting involved in activities can play an important part in supporting our residents wellbeing and happiness. 💕

🍭🍬Welcome to the KCH tuck shop! 🍬🍭

Last week, we opened up the bar and transformed it into a good old-fashioned tuck shop for the very first time! 🎉

Our residents had the chance to choose from a selection of traditional penny sweets, picking out their favourites and enjoying a little trip down memory lane. 🥰

It was wonderful to hear everyone reminiscing about the sweets they used to enjoy when they were younger - with plenty of stories, smiles and memories being shared along the way. 💛

It was safe to say that our tuck shop was a big hit, and we shall definitely be adding it back onto the activities schedule!

Although…. We might have a problem if all the sweets get eaten before then! 😅😂🍬

On Tuesday, we were delighted to welcome Chris Auburn back to KCH for another fantastic singing session! 🎶💙

It was wonderful to see Chris engaging so warmly with our residents, encouraging everyone to join in with the singing throughout the performance. He treated us to a fantastic collection of well-loved classics, and they certainly went down a hit with everyone!

A big thank you to Chris for another enjoyable morning filled with music, smiles, and great memories. We look forward to welcoming you back to KCH again in the future! 🎤✨

☀️ What an incredible day at our annual KCH Summer Fair! ☀️

Last week, we held our much anticipated Summer Fair, and what a fantastic success it was! 🙌

There was something for everyone to enjoy, with a variety of stalls selling beautiful handmade gifts, delicious homemade cakes at our cake stall, teas and scones, exciting raffles, and a visit from the ice cream van. 🍦☕️🧁

Our wonderful Activities Team also showcased and sold some amazing crafts lovingly made by our talented residents, and we couldn’t be prouder of their creativity. 💛

A huge thank you to the Beach’d Buoys for providing such brilliant entertainment throughout the afternoon. They had everyone singing, laughing and smiling from start to finish! 🎶😁

And with the sun shining all day, it really was the perfect setting for a wonderful community event. ☀️

We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped organise the fair, volunteered their time, donated prizes and cakes, and to all our friends, families and members of the local community who came along to support us. Your generosity has helped us raise valuable funds for our wonderful residents, and we are so grateful.

We can’t wait to do it all again….. roll on next years Summer Fair! 💛🎉

🎶 What a wonderful afternoon we had yesterday at KCH! 🎶

Our residents were delighted to welcome James Vincent back to our home, he entertained everyone with a fantastic selection of songs while playing the keyboard. There was plenty of singing along, smiling, and reminiscing as music filled the home.

With the sun shining, it was a perfect afternoon to sit back, relax, and enjoy the performance.

To help everyone stay cool and refreshed, residents also enjoyed a tasty ice lolly during the entertainment. 🍦🌞

A huge thank you to James Vincent for bringing such joy and music to our home. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon! 💙

☀️ KCH Annual Family Day 2026 ☀️

What an incredible day we had at our annual Family Day on Saturday! It was wonderful to see so many families come together to spend quality time with their loved ones.

Our fantastic BBQ was a huge success, with plenty of delicious food and refreshing drinks for everyone to enjoy. The glorious sunshine made it the perfect day, and the home was filled with smiles, laughter, conversation, and happy memories.

A special thank you to the wonderful Robbie, who kept everyone entertained with a fantastic selection of well known hits. Residents, families, and staff were all singing, dancing, and clapping along - he was an absolute hit with everyone!

Also a huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so special. We loved seeing everyone together and creating wonderful memories.

We can’t wait to do it all again next year! 💛🌞🍔🎶

✨🧁 Baking Club at KCH! ✨🧁

Yesterday Afternoon, some of our residents got together for baking club, where we made some delicious fruit fairy cakes! 😋

As we baked, the ladies shared lovely memories of baking over the years and reminisced about the recipes they grew up with.

Although we had a recipe to follow, it wasn’t long before they decided to take the reins, preparing the cakes the way they had been taught. It was wonderful to see everyone taking turns, sharing their knowledge, and getting involved.

The kitchen was filled with smiles, conversation, and the smell of freshly baked cakes - and the finished fairy cakes were absolutely delicious! 💕🧁

A wonderful morning spent out and about yesterday 🌸🌼

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of taking some of our lovely ladies to the local garden centre. It was a fantastic trip, filled with beautiful flowers, plenty of smiles, and a few great bargains along the way! 🌺🛍

Here with have the lovely Mrs.E, who is proudly showing off her gorgeous new orchid and flower pot. We think you’ll agree, they look absolutely beautiful!

It’s always lovely to get out into the community and enjoy simple moments that bring so much joy. 💛

✨ Our residents at KCH have been putting their arts and crafts talents to great use over the past week as they prepare for our Summer Fair! ✨

We’ve been busy creating some beautiful handmade items that will be available to purchase, including these adorable bumblebee tea light holders and hand painted wooden bird feeders. Every piece has been lovingly crafted and is truly one of a kind. 👩🏻‍🎨🎨

There are plenty more exciting craft projects planned over the coming weeks, and we can’t wait to see all the wonderful creations our residents produce.💛

We look forward to sharing them with you - and hope to see you at our Summer Fair! 🍦🎉
