Sometime's we might start to question connections and find ourselves entering different chapters of life and feel like certain area's of life feel stuck or stagnant & no longer aligned with our path. Have you felt unsupported lately or lonely🫂 even when people are around you. Have you been let down, hurt or disapointed. Maybe your boundaries have been crossed, maybe old connections have just drifted off and it's left you feeling confused. Maybe your just unsure if people or situations are right for you anymore but you can't work out why.🤷‍♀️ Whatever is going on, you don't have to carry it alone. Counselling can help explore💫 - Remember - you do not have to be going through a massive crisis to reach out for counselling. Therapy is for everybody - no matter how big or small you might view your situation to be - your feelings are valid and you deserve time & space because you matter 🫶🐝🪷

🍂 As the darker evenings begin to draw in and the nights become colder, take a moment to consider…
What does feeling safe actually look like for you?
Maybe safety is found in your own company, in your own space, where you can simply be as you are — no expectations, no pressure, no need to perform. Maybe it’s a familiar person, a pet, a particular place, routine or those small comforts that tell your body I’m okay here.
Or perhaps, if you’re really honest, you don’t feel safe very often at all.
Maybe you’ve lost the person who once made you feel safest. Maybe you have people around you, yet your body remains on high alert. You might recognise hypervigilance, a knot in your stomach, constantly scanning for what might happen next, struggling to properly relax even when there is no obvious danger.
Sometimes, after experiencing enough situations where we haven't felt safe — emotionally, physically or psychologically — being safe can become unfamiliar. You can become so accustomed to bracing yourself that you forget what it feels like to let your guard down. You may not even know what a calm nervous system feels like anymore.
So perhaps this is something worth gently exploring.
Does your sense of safety come mostly from within — from being comfortable in your own company and having space to simply Be?
Or does it come more from external things —certain people, places, routines, surroundings or familiar comforts?
And what happens when those things aren't available?
There isn't a right or wrong answer. And you don't have to share anything you're not comfortable sharing.
Just something to quietly reflect on: Take a moment to share if you wish:-

Sometimes you don’t need someone to tell you which way to go…
Sometimes you just need a little light, a safe space, and someone to sit beside you while you find your own way. 🐝🪷✨️💫✨

Just out of curiosity… where would YOU choose?
If you could choose the setting for a conversation where you had space to slow down, explore at your own pace or simply a space to be comfortable in… which one would you pick?
🫶 Tranquil calm counselling room?
🏞 Down by a lake or a river?
🏕 A little cafe in a park?
🏓🎨 A relaxed activity?
🌊 A walk by the sea?
🌳 Somewhere else in nature?
🏡 In your own home or garden?
☕ Somewhere cosy with a cuppa?
🚶‍♀️ A walk & talk?
💻 Online from the comfort of your own space?
📞 A telephone conversation?
Or maybe none of these!
💭 Where would YOU create your ideal space?
And you don't have to be looking for therapy to answer — I'm genuinely curious! 👀
If you could design your perfect setting to talk, reflect, unwind or just Bee…🪷 where would it be? 🐝

Sometime's people want their therapy session out in nature. This might even include a one off / Ad hoc session at the beach.
🌊 Ever considered a little bit of seaside therapy…?
I don’t actually live by the seaside… but I’m only around an hour away. 🌅

Sometimes you just need a little space to breathe, talk, think, untangle things… or simply Bee. 🐝
A change of scenery can sometimes help us see things a little differently.
So, if you’re feeling like you need to blow off the cobwebs, clear your head or simply have some space away from everyday life, we can explore whether a beach session might be right for you.

Beach sessions can be arranged after forming a theraputic relationship and conversation's and suitability assessment can take place, so that we can make sure the setting feels safe, comfortable and right

Blowing away cobwebs as they say. ✨
Like a sunset, human beings unfold in their own way and in their own time. The quote by Carl Rogers springs to mind:- "people are just as wonderful as sunsets if you let them be. When i look at a sunset i don't try to soften the orange bit in the right hand corner, i dont try and control a sunset, i watch in awe as it unfolds" That is the essence in what person centred therapy is about. Creating gentle space for exploring parts of self on deeper levels, but equally with acceptance, - and not trying to fix everything. Change & growth feel like a natural process, not forced, but from within. 💫
