‼️‼️‼️Patient Safety Notice – Please Be Aware of Scam Messages‼️‼️‼️‼️

We’ve recently had a number of patients—particularly older patients—receive messages about supposed hospital appointments.

These messages may:
• Ask you to click a link
• Request personal details such as your date of birth
• Lead to an error page or appear suspicious
• Refer to consultants or services not based in the UK

⚠️ These messages are likely to be scams.

Please remember:
✔️ The NHS will not ask for sensitive personal information via unsolicited text or email links
✔️ Official appointment letters or texts will come from recognised UK services
✔️ If something doesn’t feel right, trust your instincts

📞 If you receive a message like this and are unsure, do not click the link. Instead, contact the practice and we will be happy to check it for you.

Please share this with family members or anyone who may be vulnerable ❤️

💉🩺RSV Vaccination’s🩺💉

We are offering patients over 75 years of age a vaccination to protect against RSV (Respiratory syncytial virus). Studies have shown that the virus can be responsible for admissions to hospital in the winter months with pneumonia, especially in patients over the age of 75. Please pass this message onto any family/friends to make them aware. Please call the surgery to make an appointment.

Find out about the RSV vaccine, including who it's for, how to get it and common side effects.

APRIL = BOWEL CANCER AWARENESS

Most people ignore the early signs of bowel cancer.
Don’t be one of them.

Because when it’s caught early…
it’s highly treatable.

👇 Would you recognise the warning signs?
• A change in your bowel habits that won’t go away
• Blood in your stool
• Ongoing stomach pain or bloating
• Unexplained weight loss
• Constant, unexplained fatigue

⚠️ Here’s the truth:
Bowel cancer often starts silently.
Screening can pick it up before you even feel unwell.

💬 It’s not embarrassing.
💬 It’s not “probably nothing.”
💬 It’s your health.

✔️ Don’t ignore symptoms
✔️ Do the NHS screening test when invited
✔️ Get checked if something feels off
✔️ Talk about it — you might help someone else
