โ๏ธ We know some people welcome the warmer weather, but hot temperatures can affect health, especially for babies and young children, older people, and those with long-term health conditions.
An amber heat health alert is in effect from today until Friday 26 June.
During this time, help keep yourself and others safe by:
โ๏ธ Keeping out of the sun where possible, especially between 11am and 3pm
๐ Wearing sunscreen, a hat and light clothing when outside
๐ง Drinking plenty of water and other cold drinks
๐ท Avoiding too much alcohol and limiting caffeine
๐ช Keeping windows and curtains closed during the day to help keep rooms cooler
๐ฅ Checking in on vulnerable family, friends and neighbours
