It's that time of year again. Whether you're heading on an exotic holiday, planning a short break closer to home, exploring somewhere new or enjoying a day trip (or several) this summer, please do send our residents a postcard of your adventures. Your postcards will ignite so many wonderful memories, spark conversations and reduce loneliness, as well as reminding our residents that they are very much a part of their community. We love to receive your cards, and the discussions they inspire are priceless. Let us travel with you! Please share this appeal, so that we can travel even further

Today is Aged Care Employee Day across Australia. However, we thought it was well worth celebrating too. We would like to celebrate, and thank, each and every one of our team members for everything they do for our residents and their fellow staff members on a daily basis. We are who we are because of your dedication, and we are so proud of, and grateful for you all

Today is International Friendship Day, which is a global event celebrating human connection. Conversations, group activities and spending time with one another is so important for wellbeing. Our residents love to keep in touch with the wider world too, so please do send us a postcard from wherever you are this summer!

Today is International Self Care Day, which promotes the importance of taking care of number one from time to time, whether you pamper yourself, enjoy a walk, avoid screens for a day, or indulge in a favourite hobby. Self-care is so important to maintain healthy wellbeing, as well as supporting us to manage stress, prevent illness and avoid burnout. Besides, taking time for yourself feels GOOD. The date itself is symbolic; the 24th July reminds us that self-care is important 24/7. What are your favourite ways to look after your physical and mental health?

July is Disability Pride Month, which is celebrated globally to honour the achievements, identities, and culture of disabled people around the world. It aims to advocate for better accessibility and inclusion, and brings together the disabled community to start conversations, share experiences and acknowledge creativity and resilience on a global scale
