Being “gathered within” is more than knowing what you want.

You can have a clear direction and a plan — but not have the energy to bring it to life.

You can have plenty of energy — but when your focus is divided between too many things, that energy gets dispersed rather than taking you somewhere.

And you can be doing a lot, moving constantly, making decisions — while the direction itself has become unclear.

This is where inner collectedness begins to disappear.

Because clarity alone isn’t enough.
Energy alone isn’t enough.
Focus alone isn’t enough.

We need all three working together:

Direction — knowing what matters and where you are going.

Focus — being able to place your attention there, rather than constantly pulling it in different directions.

Energy — having the inner resources to actually move, create, choose and follow through.

When these begin to align, something changes.

There is less internal friction.
Less energy spent constantly redirecting yourself.

You’re not simply clear about where you want to go — you have the capacity to move towards it.

That, to me, is the deeper meaning behind Gathered Within:

Direction. Focus. Energy.
Moving together rather than pulling apart.

And perhaps that’s an interesting question to sit with today:

Which one feels strongest for you right now — and which one needs more of your attention?

GATHERED WITHIN 🌾
A Three-Hour Immersive Workshop

Sunday 13 September | 9:30am–12:30pm
The Deer Park, Hoar Cross

What happens when your energy is everywhere — except with you?

It’s easy to move through life constantly responding — to what needs doing, what others need from us, what comes next.

And even when we know ourselves well, we can still find our attention scattered, our energy pulled in too many directions, and our own voice becoming harder to hear.

Sometimes we don’t need to do more.
We need space to notice what is taking our energy, what we are ready to let go of, and what brings us back to ourselves.

Gathered Within is a three-hour immersive morning created around exactly that.

A space to step away from the constant pull of everyday life and explore three things:

NOTICE — where your energy is going and what is pulling you away from yourself.
RELEASE — what you may no longer need to carry.
GATHER — what helps you reconnect with yourself and feel steady within.

Through gentle embodied movement, breathwork, nervous system regulation, guided reflection and journaling, somatic practices and deep relaxation, we’ll explore these ideas not only through thought, but through the body.

The morning will unfold in the peaceful surroundings of The Deer Park in Hoar Cross, with tea, refreshments and thoughtful little gifts included.

No previous yoga experience is needed — simply come as you are.

My hope is that you’ll leave feeling more gathered within yourself — with greater clarity about what deserves your energy, and simple practices you can return to long after the morning ends.

£45 per person | £15 deposit to secure your place

If this speaks to you, I’d love to welcome you. 🤍

And if you know someone who might need a morning like this, feel free to share it with them. 🌾

It’s interesting how quickly we can notice what isn’t working in our lives, yet still struggle to understand what we truly need.

Often it’s not because we don’t have answers.

It’s because there are so many voices competing for our attention:

✔ logic

✔ fear

✔ expectations

✔ habit

✔ other people’s opinions

And somewhere beneath all of that is our own voice.

The challenge is recognising it.

That’s one of the reasons I created Anchored in Your Yes.

Through movement, breathwork, reflection, imagery and body-based practices, we’ll explore how to slow down enough to notice what is really happening inside.

Not to find the “perfect” answer.

But to develop greater awareness of:

✔ what your body may be trying to communicate

✔ the difference between reacting and responding

✔ moments when you’re overriding your own needs

✔ what genuinely feels right for you

✔ how to create more space between automatic habits and conscious choices

A 3-hour integrative embodied experience.

Sometimes the difficulty is not that we can't trust ourselves.

It's that we realise things too late.

Too late that they were already tired.
Too late that they actually needed rest.
Too late that something didn't feel right.
Too late that they said yes too quickly.

And then comes the overthinking afterwards:

"Why did I agree to that?"
"Why didn't I notice earlier?"
"Why do I keep overriding myself?"

This is exactly where body awareness becomes practical.

Because the body often notices stress, tension, overwhelm or misalignment much earlier than the mind fully processes it.

And learning how to recognise those signals earlier can completely change the way we make decisions, communicate, rest, set boundaries and take care of ourselves.

This is what we'll explore in Anchored in Your Yes.

Not through theory alone.
But through movement, breathwork, nervous system regulation and embodied practices designed to help you better understand yourself in everyday life.

Each of us experiences many different sensations in the body - sensations we have learned to interpret in different ways.
Tension.
Ease.
Hesitation.
A sense that something feels right—or not quite right.
But feeling something is only the beginning.
A sensation in the body does not automatically mean clarity.
Sometimes it is genuine alignment.
Sometimes it is fear.
Sometimes it is a familiar pattern.
Sometimes it is your nervous system responding before you fully understand what is happening.
And then the mind quickly creates a story about what that sensation means.
This is why self-trust is more nuanced than simply
"listening to your body."
The real skill is learning how to work with what you feel, what you think, and what you imagine-together.
This is exactly what we will explore through movement, breath, and guided inquiry in my upcoming workshop.

Sometimes we assume that the body
"tells the truth".

But what we feel in the body is not always a clear answer.

It can be a sensation of tension or ease
an emotional reaction
or something shaped by past experience.

For example, in a conversation.

Someone says something.

And you notice an internal response:

tightness
warmth
irritation
interest
or withdrawal

And in that moment, something very fast happens.

You don't just feel it.
You start to interpret it.

"This means I'm uncomfortable."
"This means I like it."
"This means something is wrong."

But the problem is that there is almost no space between sensation and meaning.

And that is often where clarity gets lost.

This doesn't mean the body is "wrong".

And it doesn't mean the mind is the problem.
It simply means we rarely distinguish between:

what | feel
what my system is reacting to
and how I interpret it

And then we might:
mistake a reaction for intuition ignore a real signal as anxiety or get lost somewhere in between.

Maybe the skill is not about "trusting the body more".

But about learning to notice:

what am I actually feeling right now and at which level is this happening.

And sometimes, the most important shift is not reacting faster...
but not rushing into meaning.

Sometimes it’s not about making a decision.

It’s about noticing what your body already decided — before your mind caught up.

We often think clarity comes from thinking more.

But in reality, thinking is usually what takes us further away from it.

You can explain a “yes” in a hundred different ways.

But your body either feels it… or it doesn’t.

And slowly, we learn to trust explanation more than sensation.

So we override the quieter signals.

We adjust.
We rationalise.
We continue.

Until it becomes harder to recognise what is actually aligned.

Not because something is wrong.

But because the signal gets quieter when it’s not being listened to.

This is something I’ve been exploring more deeply in my work — how we relate to internal signals when it comes to decisions, boundaries, and direction.

Not from a mental perspective.

But from the body.

More details coming soon.
