Please note that access to the Barrow surgery and pharmacy will be via the side entrance of the building with immediate effect. This is due to some structural issues with the front entrance porch. This also means that parking spaces are reduced due to scaffolding being in place.

We would like to say a huge thank you to FA Valiant & Son for coming to our rescue so quickly, especially in 30+ degree heat! 👏

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and we hope to get back to normal as soon as possible 🤞

Please note we have been advised we are no longer allowed to accept sharps bins.

Patients who require sharps disposal can contact the local council who will arrange to collect them.

The practice will be closed for staff training from 12:30pm on Tuesday 12th May 2026.
Normal service will resume from 8am on Wednesday 13th May 2026.

Please note a change to the date of the road closure, new date stated below…

🚘 Patient Notice 🚘

Please be aware that on Tuesday 24th March 2026 there will be a road closure taking place on Lower Baxter Street.

Access to the short stay car park opposite the surgery will remain available; however, the road will be closed from this entrance to Abbeygate Street.

The closure is expected to take place for one full day.

Please be aware that the Lower Baxter Street car park opposite the Guildhall and Barrow Surgery, will be closed from 6pm on Sunday 8th February until Thursday 12th February due to essential works.
