For anyone who needs it today.

Much love.

Today is also the mighty summer solstice - let nature bring its boundless light to fill you up and warm any parts left in the cold.

We fully support the Advertising Standards Authority’s decision to require Pure Cremation to withdraw its misleading advertisement concerning direct cremation services.

At a time when families are already facing difficult decisions and overwhelming emotions, the last thing they need is advertising that could cause confusion or misunderstanding.

My role is to provide clear, honest guidance and support, helping people navigate what can be one of the most challenging periods of their lives. Choosing a funeral service does not have to mean arranging an elaborate ceremony. For those who feel it is the right option, we also offer local, direct cremation services, ensuring families can make informed choices that best reflect their wishes and circumstances.

Please always talk to your local independent funeral director, wherever you are in the country.

It’s Mental Health Awareness Week 💜

Grief can affect every part of our lives, including our mental health. Feelings of anxiety, depression, loneliness, overwhelm, and even suicidal thoughts can all be part of grief, and these experiences are more common than many people realise.

Having open and honest conversations about grief and mental health helps to break stigma, increase understanding, and remind people that they are not alone.

If you or someone you know is struggling, support is available:

• Samaritans — Call 116 123 for free, 24/7 support
• Cruse Bereavement Support — Bereavement support and grief information
• Mind — Mental health information and support
• NHS Mental Health Support — Speak to your GP or visit the NHS website for urgent and non-urgent mental health help.

"No fuss" doesn't have to mean no goodbye. As Independent Funeral Directors, we've found that 62% of people feel being present is one of the best ways to create a sense of meaning, with 48% saying a hug from fellow mourners was a great help during the whole process.

Create a farewell that feels right for everyone with a little help from SAIF

There is a quiet power in being present. Did you know that 79% of people find attending a funeral essential for acknowledging their loss?

We pride ourselves on holding a space for you to say a real, heartfelt goodbye that feels right for you.

Whether that’s through a favourite song, a shared story, a football team, or even a much-needed moment of laughter.

We all need to remember this ❤️

Sometimes we may forget that rest is productive. We as humans cannot pour from an empty cup. Be gentle with yourself and taking a break ❤️‍🩹
