It's going to be extremely hot this week 🥵

Heat exhaustion and Heat Stroke can come on quickly, especially when you’re out in the sun, exercising, or not drinking enough water.

Heat Exhaustion Symptoms:
- headache
- dizziness and confusion
- loss of appetite and feeling sick
- sweating with pale, clammy skin
- cramps in the arms, legs, and stomach
- fast, weakening pulse and rapid breathing

Heat Stroke Symptoms:
- high body temperature or fever – usually more than 40 degrees Celsius
- fainting or losing consciousness
- a seizure or fit
-severe difficulty breathing – for example, struggling to speak without pausing, gasping or choking
confusion
- lack of coordination
- skin that’s cold to the touch, even with a high body temperature

Yesterday, 11 members of the West Suffolk Network of St John Ambulance travelled to London to assist the nearly 60,000 runners taking part in the London Marathon 🏃🏃‍♀️👨‍🦽👩‍🦽 We were joined by members of St. John Ambulance North Herts Network as well as lots of others

All the volunteers who took part had an amazing time and the atmosphere was electric!
