Meet Liz!

Liz joined Home Instead over two years ago following a career change from the catering industry, where she spent many years doing what she loves, caring for others through food and hospitality.

When she's not supporting our clients, Liz enjoys village life with her husband, spending time with her three grown-up children, and keeping busy with long walks, swimming, gardening, and cooking.

Liz loves getting to know our clients, sharing a chat, and helping them remain happy and independent at home. Her warm and friendly nature makes her a wonderful member of the Home Instead Bury St Edmunds team. 💚

This week we're introducing Hannah, one of our fantastic Senior Care Professionals at Home Instead Bury St Edmunds!

👋 Hannah is known for her warm personality, love of a good chat, and ability to really listen. She enjoys building meaningful relationships with her clients and helping them feel comfortable, valued and supported.

🎤 If you enjoy singing and a little boogie, Hannah has you covered too. She loves a karaoke session and believes that laughter and fun can brighten anyone's day!

🍟 Fun fact: Hannah's favourite food is chips, and when she's not at work, she loves spending time with her children, taking them for walks and enjoying trips to the park.

💚 Walking for a Cause Close to Our Hearts 💚
At Home Instead, we see every day how dementia affects not only those living with the condition, but also their families, friends, and loved ones. Providing compassionate, person-centred care to people living with dementia is at the heart of what we do.

That's why our Co-Owner, Emily Rainbird-Bryant, is taking on the challenge of walking 30 miles in September to raise money for Dementia UK.

Through our work across South Norfolk, East Suffolk and Bury St Edmunds, we understand the importance of specialist support for families navigating a dementia diagnosis. Every pound raised will help fund Dementia UK's specialist dementia nurses, who provide expert advice, reassurance and practical support when it's needed most.

As Emily puts on her walking shoes this September, she'll be thinking of the many clients and families we've had the privilege to support.

🎉 Celebrating a Remarkable Gentleman 🎉

At Home Instead Bury St Edmunds, we have the privilege of supporting some truly wonderful people, and one of our lovely clients reached the incredible milestone of 100 years old in March! 💙

A happy gentleman with a fantastic sense of humour, he never fails to brighten the day of those around him. His warmth, kindness, and cheerful outlook always leave our Care Professional, Leila, smiling after every visit.

The relationships built between our clients and Care Professionals are so special, and it's moments like these that remind us why we love what we do. Supporting people to remain independent at home while sharing laughter, stories, and companionship is at the heart of Home Instead.

This week we'd like to introduce Sharon, one of our fantastic Care Professionals at Home Instead Bury St Edmunds. 💚

Sharon joined Home Instead in December and says she can't believe she hadn't discovered care work sooner!

Having spent much of her career in the hospitality industry, Sharon brings warmth, compassion, and a natural ability to connect with people. What she loves most about her role is that every day is different, and every visit provides an opportunity to make a positive difference in someone's life.

Whether she's helping with personal care, preparing meals, accompanying clients on outings, sorting paperwork, or simply being there to offer companionship and support, Sharon gives her all to every person she visits.

In Sharon's words:

"Every day I don't mind that my alarm goes off early because I know that every person I see that day, I will make a difference to their life."

Sharon feels privileged to help clients remain in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes and loves becoming an important part of the support network around them and their families.
