⚽🎨 An exciting evening visit ...🌍🏆

We had some new visitors last week in the form of our wonderful young helpers! They needed to paint 48 World Cup flags for a school project, and we can safely say our residents and staff had so much fun being decorated with colours representing all around the world 🇬🇧🇧🇷🇫🇷🇪🇸🇦🇷

A huge thank you to our fantastic young visitors for sharing their creativity, kindness, and enthusiasm. These intergenerational moments are always so special and bring so much joy to everyone involved. ❤️✨

🌍✈️ Around the World Passport Challenge! 🛂🌎

Recently, we had an incredible day of adventure as we journeyed across six different World Cup countries—without leaving the care home! 🇬🇧🇮🇹🇫🇷🇪🇸

At each destination, residents identified the country's flag, sampled a themed snack, observed an iconic photo, and collected a stamp in their passport before setting off on their next adventure. 📸🍴✨

There were lots of smiles, memories, and new experiences shared along the way - a wonderful journey for everyone involved. ❤️

A huge thank you to our fantastic kitchen team for preparing the delicious treats and to Laura for all of her support in making the afternoon such a success. 👏💐

We can't wait to see where our passports take us next! 🌍💙

Our day was filled with an all American atmosphere as residents enjoyed a fun afternoon of s'mores tasting following a themed morning reminiscence session in the Botanical Cafe 🔥🤍

From sharing memories and conversations to trying this much-loved campfire treat, there were plenty of smiles, laughter, and new experiences enjoyed together on one of our favourite days of the year ☕😊

🌸🌼 Spring was in full bloom as, once again, our residents came together for one of our favourite activities—flower arranging! 💐✨

Beautiful pinks and sunny yellows filled the room as everyone enjoyed helping to create stunning displays, from elegant large centrepieces to charming little vases. 🌷💛

Keep an eye out—you might even spot some of our wonderful arrangements brightening up the dining areas, adding a special touch to make mealtimes feel even more inviting. 🍽️🌺

☀️🍹 Making the most of the sunshine with a refreshing morning of mocktails in the garden!

During last weeks heatwave, our residents enjoyed starting the day by cooling off with delicious Sunrise on the Rocks and Cranberry Cooler mocktails, keeping hydrated while soaking up the beautiful weather. 😎🌺

There were plenty of big smiles, lots of suncream, and, of course, Barbara's fabulous sun hat—it was definitely the star of the morning! 👒✨

With icy drinks, great company, and a little bit of puppy therapy to top it all off, here's to enjoying the sunshine safely, staying cool, and making wonderful summer memories together. 🌞💛

🌟 A new week at Brookdale! 🌟

Our latest weekly schedule is here, and after a wonderfully busy few weeks, we're looking forward to a slightly quieter week filled with relaxation, meaningful moments and plenty of time to unwind together 💛

We'll also be celebrating the **4th of July** with some themed activities, alongside our usual favourites including gentle exercise, creative sessions, music, social clubs and opportunities to spend time with friends 🎆🇺🇸🎶

Sometimes the quieter weeks are just what we need—offering time to relax, recharge and enjoy the little moments that make each day special. We can't wait to share another lovely week with our residents! ✨🌿

Yesterday, our residents showed off their football knowledge with a fun themed Q&A session and making their World Cup predictions. From favourite teams and legendary players to predicting who will lift the trophy, there's plenty of laughter and football chat to enjoy.

🎶🍎 Juice & Jingles in the Botanical Café 🍊🎶

We love a slow morning and this one was perfect! A wonderfully relaxed session in the Botanical Café, sipping on refreshing fresh apple and orange juice while listening to a selection of football throwbacks and favourite hits from the 1960s ⚽🎵✨

The music sparked lots of memories and conversation, with residents reminiscing about iconic matches, memorable songs and special moments from years gone by 💛

There was plenty of singing along, tapping feet and sharing stories as everyone enjoyed good company, refreshing drinks and a lovely start to the day 😊☀️

Simple moments, great music and time spent together are what make life at Brookdale so special 🌟
