Thank you so much to everyone who attended our Memory Walk today to celebrate the lives of their loved ones. It was a lovely afternoon at Burrs Country Park.
A special thank you to the Mayor of Bury for starting the walk, our walk leader Wesley McArdle, DJs Christopher Bucko Buckley and Ged Birch, Zumba warm-up with Donna Oliver and her team, Legacy Pets Cremation Services for donating candles for all participants, Wilson's Tuckshop, Bars at Yours, EJ's Amazing Faces, the ice cream van and Carrs Pasties for giving out free pasties to everyone who completed the walk.
A huge thank you to our Bury Hospice team of staff and volunteers, Andys Man Club Bury and Community Medics CIC for their support and also Eagle Plant Hire for suppling the portaloos and a generator free of charge and Bury van Hire Limited for letting us use one of their vans for the event 💜

A huge thank you to one of our Strictly Best Foot Forward dance teachers, Donna Oliver for raising £150 for Bury Hospice at last night's Zumba & Dance with Donna at LARK Dance Drama & Gymnastics.
If you are taking part in our Memory Walk on Saturday, registration is from 3pm with the Zumba warm-up with Donna and her team, starting at 3.30pm prior to the walk at 4pm.

A huge thank you to Jill Brady, Community Champion at Asda in Pilsworth for donating bottles of water for our Memory Walk on Saturday.

If you are taking part in our walk of love and remembrance and haven't collected your t-shirt, there is another t-shirt collection this evening at Bury Hospice's main reception between 6pm and 8pm. T-shirts will also be available to collect from the registration desk on Saturday from 3pm.

Standing proudly on top of Holcombe Hill, Peel Tower is perhaps Bury's most famous landmark.
The event is taking place on Sunday, September 27th from 10am.

If you watched Strictly on a Saturday evening and thought, 'I'd love to do that', well now is your chance. We are offering a limited number of spaces to take part in Bury's own Strictly-style dance competition.
Dance pairs will take part in free dance lessons over 12 weeks leading to a spectacular showcase for family and friends.
Your family and friends will have the opportunity to cheer you on at either an afternoon tea event or the evening showcase.
With celebrity judges raising their paddles and an array of trophies up for grabs, this is a fun-filled event not to be missed.

Sarah Baurley and her family will be taking part in our Memory Walk on Saturday for the second consecutive year. They will be walking to celebrate the life of Sarah’s beautiful Mum, Lynne Baurley who was cared for in our Inpatient Unit.
Sarah said: “We are taking part in the Memory Walk to raise money for the hospice that cared so compassionately for my Mum during her final days. The kindness, dignity, and support they gave not only to my Mum but to our whole family meant more than words can say. We are walking in her memory and to help ensure other families receive the same incredible care when they need it most. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a real difference.”

Join us for an unforgettable afternoon packed with classic dancefloor anthems, retro vibes, and feel-good energy as we party from daylight through to dusk.
Whether you were there the first time around or simply love the music of the era, this is your chance to dance, sing, and celebrate with friends while supporting your local hospice.
The event, proudly sponsored by Crown Oil Ltd, is taking place at Club Den, Wellington Street, Bury on Saturday, September 19th between 2pm and 8pm.
