We have had a fantastic day of learning, collaboration, and professional development with the Summerseat Physiotherapy Clinic team.

We spent the day combining team mandatory training with Silvana from Compliance Training Ltd and a staff meeting with an insightful session led by Lee from Beyond Mobility, exploring the latest advances in powered wheelchairs and postural equipment.

Having the opportunity to drive and experience wheelchairs featuring cutting-edge technology gave us valuable insight into how different chairs meet the individual needs of different patients. Experiencing the equipment first-hand helped us better understand the benefits, capabilities, and considerations when recommending the most appropriate mobility solutions.

It was also inspiring to see how far mobility technology has progressed. Modern equipment is designed to reduce the physical demands on users while providing greater independence, comfort, and confidence. Improved accessibility over steeper gradients, wet surfaces, and uneven terrain means more people can enjoy greater freedom and participation in everyday life.

Days like these reinforce the importance of continuous learning and working collaboratively with industry experts so we can continue providing the best possible care and advice for our patients.

A big thank you to Irwin Mitchell Manchester, Charlotte Abbott and Bilal Hussain, for such an inspirational and grounding event this evening, shining a light on equality in every sense.

At a time when the media can often make the world feel less accepting, it was incredibly refreshing to hear the strong, compassionate voices of the speakers. Learning about the impactful work they’re doing across different sectors and around the world was a powerful reminder of where our attention should be.
