Skinvive® is quickly becoming a favourite for women in perimenopause and menopause. Think of it as an injectable moisturiser.

This treatment doesn't change the structure of your face, but restores what hormonal shifts tend to take away: hydration, smoothness and that healthy, natural glow.

Micro‑injections boost deep hydration in the skin, helping soften crepiness, dryness and dullness that often appear as oestrogen declines.

What my patients notice most: Smoother texture, fresher, more luminous finish, hydration that lasts around 6 months, NO added volume ...just better skin.

If your skin has started to feel a little less resilient or a little less radiant, Skinvive is a gentle, medical‑grade way to bring back that healthy, confident glow.

Summer is for making memories, not accelerating skin ageing!

Many of the habits we think are harmless can quietly contribute to premature fine lines, pigmentation, dehydration, and a weakened skin barrier.

These are some of the biggest culprits:

✨ Skipping SPF

✨ Overexposure to the sun/relying solely on SPF

✨ Dehydration

✨ Over-exfoliating

✨ Not adjusting your skincare routine for the season

The good news? Small changes now can make a significant difference to your skin's long-term health.

Protect your skin today so you'll thank yourself in years to come.

We’re within touching distance of it being officially Summer and the sun is finally here, even in Cheshire! Sunshine is wonderful for boosting our mood and vitamin D, but unprotected exposure damages our skin. So now is the perfect time for a reminder that sun protection isn’t one product, it’s a strategy.

Read my latest blog for some simple habits to protect your skin....tip: it's not JUST sunscreen....

👀 Tired of looking tired?

If your under-eyes are making you look exhausted (even when you’re not), tear trough filler isn’t always the answer.

At Skinphinity, we take a doctor-led, personalised approach to under-eye rejuvenation because dark circles, hollowing, puffiness and fine lines all need different solutions.

Tear trough filler isn’t suitable for everyone and in some cases, it can worsen swelling over time. The good news? There are effective alternatives to refresh and brighten your under-eye area, including:

✨ Polynucleotides
✨ Skin boosters & mesotherapy
✨ Medical-grade skincare
✨ Botox
✨ Energy-based skin tightening
✨ Surgical referral when appropriate

The key is understanding why your under-eyes look tired and choosing the safest, most effective treatment for you.

At Skinphinity, natural results and long-term skin health always come first.

Just back from a weekend in the Côte d’Azur ☀️🇫🇷 Such a fabulous weekend and it was a perfect reminder that sun protection isn’t one product, it’s a strategy.

UV exposure is cumulative, meaning the damage builds over time, even on days that don’t feek that hot. Both UVA (ageing, pigmentation) and UVB (burning) rays affect the skin, and they’re present all day, not just at peak heat.

So effective protection = combining methods:

🧴 Sunscreen
A broad-spectrum SPF is essential, but it’s only one part of the picture. It needs to be applied generously and reapplied regularly, up to every 3 hours. If this is unrealistic , try to at least remember to reply it at lunchtime. Different formulations suit different skin types, which is why I like having options. I had my trusted Heliocare Water gel () with me this weekend.

👒 Hat
A wide-brimed hat helps protect areas sunscreen often misses or where it wears off quickly eg scalp, hairline, ears, and neck. Physical barriers like this are one of the most reliable forms of protection. I'd recommend one with a guaranteed UPF (ultraviolet protein factor). For example, one of my favourites is the small picture which is from .france. and also have a great selection and I own lovely hats from both. The one I'm wearing in this photo is actually from Amazon and was less than £20 but still has UPF protection.

🕶️ Sunglasses
UV can damage the eyes and contribute to premature ageing around them. Proper UV-protective lenses aren’t just stylish, they’re essential from protection.

🌴 Shade
Seeking shade during peak UV hours significantly reduces direct exposure. It’s one of the simplest but most overlooked habits.

No single step is enough on its own, but together, and consistently, they reduce the long-term risks of photoageing, hyperpigmentation, and skin cancer. For a consultation to understand more, please book via the link on the website!

The sun is out!! ☀️ While topical sunscreen is necessary to shield your skin from harmful UV rays, vitamin C works in synergy by boosting your skin’s natural defence mechanisms. It helps to:

🍊 Enhance UV protection: While vitamin C is not a substitute for sunscreen, it can enhance the effectiveness of your SPF by reducing the damage caused by UV rays. Studies have shown that when vitamin C is applied topically, it can reduce the skin’s susceptibility to UV-induced oxidative stress. So, pairing a high-quality sunscreen with a vitamin C serum is a winning combination for overall sun protection.

🍊 Reduce hyperpigmentation: Vitamin C inhibits melanin production, making it effective for reducing sunspots, age spots, and uneven skin tone. For people who are prone to pigmentation changes with sun exposure, incorporating vitamin C into your skincare can help keep your complexion even.

🍊 Support collagen production: Sun damage accelerates the breakdown of collagen, the protein responsible for keeping our skin firm and youthful. Vitamin C plays a crucial role in collagen synthesis, helping to maintain skin elasticity and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. This means that not only will your skin be better protected from sun damage, but it will also look smoother and more radiant.

🍊 Fight inflammation: The sun’s rays can trigger inflammation in the skin, leading to redness, irritation, and even sunburn. Vitamin C has anti-inflammatory properties that can help calm the skin and reduce irritation, making it an excellent addition to your skincare routine if you’re spending extended periods outdoors.

At Skinphinity we can recommend the best medical grade skincare, tailored to your needs.
