This week is Care Home Open week, and yesterday we had a festival style afternoon with an 80's theme.
It was brilliant, and everyone that came had a fun packed afternoon, we had put the marque up in case it rained and it worked out perfectly, as it kept the wind off and kept people warm.
The afternoon started off with an 80's quiz that went down well and then we were entertained by "Razzle Dazzle" that did a selection of 80's songs that were just fantastic. Then to round the afternoon off our chef's had prepared a wonderful buffet with burgers, pies, chips and salad.
What a great afternoon, thank you to everyone that came and made it so special. ❤❤

A wonderful day spent at Brookside Garden Centre! 🌻

Lovely that Peter’s daughter-in-law joined us - family are always welcome to come along on our outings!

Our residents were on a mission to buy a pet for the garden and returned with a beautiful stone dog, who we shall name through a democratic vote at our next activities meeting. All will be revealed!

As part of our D-Day commemorations our activities coordinator Angie along with Haddon resident, Barbara, went on a trip to our local theatre to see the D-Day Darlings show at Buxton Opera House. Together they enjoyed a fabulous show, filled with singing and dancing from the war era that evoked a wonderful atmosphere of tradition and camaraderie. Barbara enjoyed her trip and an unexpected blast from the past with mint choc chip ice cream in the interval! With a late tea arranged for our return, we had a cup of tea and a good chat about our day of fun!
