🌿 Another Beautiful Retreat Comes to a Close… 💚
As another Wheston Health Retreat comes to an end, our hearts are full of gratitude.
Over the past few days we’ve laughed, reflected, walked, breathed, shared stories and, perhaps most importantly, created a little space to simply be.
This week’s gentle themes have been:
🤍 Creating healthy boundaries – understanding that saying yes to ourselves isn’t selfish. Protecting our peace allows us to show up more fully for the people we love.
🍂 Letting go of what no longer serves us – releasing old stories, fears and emotional burdens so we can make room for peace, hope and new beginnings.
✨ Remembering that two truths can run in tandem – we can be grateful whilst still grieving… we can be healing whilst still having difficult days… we can care deeply for others whilst also caring for ourselves.
Life doesn’t have to be one thing or another.
Sometimes two truths can exist together.
Alongside these conversations we’ve wandered through the beautiful Peak District, admired wildflowers, cooled our feet in crystal-clear streams, paused to watch the wildlife and simply enjoyed the gift of slowing down.
So often, healing doesn’t come from doing more.
It comes from creating the conditions where healing is able to happen.
To our wonderful guests… thank you for trusting us, for your openness, your courage and for allowing us to walk alongside you for a little while. It is always a privilege.
A huge thank you, too, to my wonderful dad, Master John Gabbard, and everyone who helps make Wheston Health Retreat such a peaceful and welcoming place.
As we wave goodbye to another lovely group, we’re reminded that healing isn’t about becoming someone new.
It’s about gently returning to who you’ve always been beneath the noise, the worry and the weight you’ve been carrying.
Until next time…
Take gentle care of yourselves. 🌿💚
