Today marks 3 months since having my first patient in my clinic, the start of self-employment, and my business JB Sport Rehab.
What at first was a daunting, but exciting challenge has now become one of my biggest achievements yet. Setting up and running a business has taught me so much - from building my website and brand, to organising my software, keeping accounts, and putting myself out there more.
I am incredibly grateful for the support of so many around me, and for my lovely patients who have trusted me to help support them. It is an honour to be chosen and trusted to take care of someone when they are in pain, and to return for follow ups or refer me to others means so much and reminds me I am good at what I do.
Of course there has been wobbles and flashes of doubt, with quiet periods and patients not returning, BUT when I look back and compare now to June 4th - I see a more confident & experienced practitioner, who loves her role even more, and has more faith and passion for what’s to come.
I won’t lie, July was quiet. But if you told me then that in a month’s time at the end of August I’d have had DOUBLE the amount of appointments in August than June, I probably wouldn’t believe you. I am so proud of this. Proud of myself for getting my name out there, delivering high quality care and not letting that worry overwhelm me.
Here’s to the next few months, where I begin to juggle running a business amongst more rugby commitments and other professional roles!
With gratitude,
A very happy GSR😌
