🏆 A Huge Congratulations to Our Director of Operations, Barry McGeachy! 🏆

Everyone at Auld Alliance Cricket Coaching is incredibly proud to congratulate our Director of Operations and Lead Coach, Barry McGeachy, on being awarded the Dennis Fulton Award by Prudhoe Community High School.

The Dennis Fulton Award recognises individuals who go above and beyond in supporting the PE department and making a lasting impact on school sport. Previous recipients have been honoured for years of dedication to football and inclusive sport, and this year Barry joins that distinguished list.

Since beginning our partnership with Prudhoe Community High School last September, Barry has helped transform cricket within the school. Through his passion, commitment and countless hours of volunteer coaching, both the boys’ and girls’ cricket programmes have flourished.

🏏 Students have enjoyed year-round coaching.
🏏 School teams have competed in County Cup fixtures, the Stokes Knight Cup and numerous friendly matches.
🏏 Most importantly, so many young people have discovered a genuine love for cricket, with a growing number continuing their journey by joining Stocksfield Cricket Club—especially the fantastic growth in girls’ cricket.

The opportunities these young people have experienced have been made possible thru Barry’s dedication, enthusiasm and belief that every child deserves the chance to play, develop and thrive through sport.

Barry said:

“I have absolutely loved the last school year supporting Prudhoe High with their cricket and seeing so many kids coming along to the school sessions, but even more so seeing so many taking up club cricket, especially the girls. Supporting state school cricket is close to our hearts at Auld Alliance and being able to support my local high school is something I am extremely privileged to do. I’m absolutely stoked to have received the Dennis Fulton Award and can’t wait for next term!”

This award is thoroughly deserved and reflects everything Barry stands for—creating opportunities, inspiring young people and building a lasting cricketing legacy within local communities.

Congratulations, Barry! We can’t wait to see what the next school year brings. 💙🏏

After a busy Lion King filled few weeks.. it was nice to get outside again! (Even though the midges were AWFUL)
We were over in Strathyre for a session with Lochearnhead Playgroup. The children had a great time painting, bouncing, playing with parachute, singing, playing with water etc.
We then went over to the primary school for some team challenges which tested the children’s team work!
Then back to Callander for Forest Club. It is ways nice to hangout in the hammocks after a busy week at school.
