We recently had a little beach party at Kingston House! 🏖️🍦

Rachel, Ray, Mary, Robin and Robbie enjoyed a lovely afternoon of ice creams, games and reminiscing about favourite beach trips from years gone by. It was lovely hearing everyone share their memories while enjoying a bit of seaside fun without leaving the home 💜

As summer comes to an end, we’re looking back at some of our August highlights across Gold Care Homes ☀️💜

With plenty of summer sunshine, our homes found ways to enjoy the summer while keeping cool, with ice creams and ice cream van visits proving particularly popular! 🍦

We also put the kettle on for Afternoon Tea Week, enjoyed some well-earned downtime for National Relaxation Day and made the most of the Summer Bank Holiday.

We headed out on the minibus from Kingston House for a lovely trip to Whitehall Garden Centre 🌸

Ray and Doris enjoyed looking at all the flowers, which got them chatting about their own gardens at home. After a browse around the clothes and gifts, it was time for a fish and chip lunch at the café.

Doris also spotted a Cherry Bakewell in the food court and, well, it would have been rude not to! 🍰💜 A lovely day out before heading back home.

Jean and Glenda were very happy to receive the latest edition of their Famileo gazette at Kingston House 💜

It is always lovely seeing the latest news and photos from their loved ones arrive through the door, and there were plenty of smiles as they sat together looking through the pages.

A little piece of home delivered straight to them. What a lovely way to keep family close, even when they cannot be together 😊

Our wonderful residents at Kingston House enjoyed a lovely church service from the comfort of their own home today 💜

It was a peaceful time to pause, reflect and enjoy familiar prayers and hymns together. There was something special about sharing the service amongst friends and being able to take part at their own pace.

A lovely afternoon of faith, reflection and togetherness.

A little throwback to July at Kingston House 💜

A huge congratulations to Sabrina and Sharon, who were both nominated for Colleague of the Month. A very well deserved recognition for two wonderful members of our team!

We are so lucky to have such caring and dedicated people in our Kingston House family. Well done both! 👏

Last Friday, we celebrated Afternoon Tea Week at Kingston House by turning the home pink! 💗

Our wonderful residents had a lovely time decorating cakes, enjoying plenty of pink treats and sitting down for a cuppa while catching up with staff and loved ones. There was lots of chatting, laughter and a few very impressive cake creations too! 🧁☕️

A big thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make it such a fun Friday at Kingston House 💜

It was a great morning for our gents as they headed back to Calne Bowls Club for their first practice of the year. There was plenty of friendly competition in the air, with everyone keen to get back into the swing of things ahead of the matches to come 💜

A big thank you to Les and Rita for giving up their Thursday morning to make it all happen. Their support means such a lot, and it certainly didn’t go unnoticed. The team even managed a cheeky go themselves before everyone was paired up, which brought a few extra smiles along the way 😊

We’re already looking forward to seeing how the competition unfolds this year.

We had a brilliant morning at Kingston House with the fabulous Rob and Sian 🎶

Our residents enjoyed singing along, dancing, clapping and even getting involved with the instruments as some golden oldies filled the room, from Molly Malone to Que Sera Sera.

A big thank you to Rob and Sian for getting everyone involved and giving us such a fun morning. There were certainly plenty of toe taps along the way! 💜

July saw us celebrating a few of our favourite dates in the calendar, alongside all the everyday moments that make each month special 💜

We marked World Chocolate Day with a few well deserved treats, celebrated National Ice Cream Day with everyone's favourite flavours, and during , we took the opportunity to recognise our wonderful teams who make such a difference every day 🍦🍫

Alongside the celebrations, there were all the little moments that make each month what it is, catching up with friends, enjoying favourite activities and making the most of the summer days.
