Vu Lan Báo Hiếu, 14 September 2025.

Nhà An Lạc trân trọng kính mời cộng đồng người Việt tại Cambridge tham dự buổi lễ cầu nguyện bình an và cầu siêu cho người đã khuất. Sự kiện này, một phần của lễ Vu Lan báo hiếu, sẽ do Thượng tọa Thích Phước Huệ từ chùa Từ Đàm, Birmingham chủ trì và sẽ được tổ chức cùng với cư dân của nhà An Lạc.

Buổi lễ sẽ diễn ra lúc 11:00 sáng Chủ Nhật, ngày 14 tháng 9 năm 2025.

Xin trân trọng kính mời quý vị đến thưởng thức các món chay miễn phí trong suốt buổi lễ.

An Lac House respectfully invites the Vietnamese community in Cambridge to attend a ceremony for peace and to pray for the departed. This event, part of the Vu Lan filial piety festival, will be led by venerable Thich Phuoc Hue from Tu Dam Pagoda, Birmingham, and will be held with the residents of the house.

The ceremony will take place at 11:00 AM on Sunday, 14 September 2025.

You are cordially invited to enjoy complimentary vegetarian dishes during the event.

VOLUNTEER DAY, 03.07.2025
Chân thành cảm ơn đội tình nguyện viên đến từ tập đoàn AstraZeneca đã dành thời gian và công sức để làm sạch ngôi vườn Nhà An Lạc vào dịp hè hàng năm.

A big thank you to the team of volunteers from AstraZeneca who take the time and effort to clean up the An Lac House garden every summer. It's so fun!!!

We are looking for additional Trustees to help run the charity. Those with experience in fundraising, budgeting and HR matters are particularly welcome to apply.

ABOUT AN LAC HOUSE

An Lac House was built in 1997 to provide supported housing for older Vietnamese residents. It is the only service in the UK that focuses on the Vietnamese community, and our 10 residents come not just from Cambridgeshire but also from other areas in the south of England. Many of the residents would struggle to fit in at a more conventional care home, but at An Lac House they feel part of a community, and are surrounded by culturally familiar language, food and customs, and live with people with similar backgrounds and experience.

An Lac House has a small and dedicated staff of four, who are all Vietnamese speakers. These include chefs who prepare two home-cooked meals a day in Vietnamese cuisine. Our staff provide 24-hour support to residents, ensuring that they are safe, healthy and happy. We offer a variety of activities for health, well-being and enjoyment, as well as opportunities to socialise with volunteers and the local community.

An Lac House is also a cultural and social centre for the local Vietnamese community and hosts religious festivals, cultural and community events, meditation groups, exercise sessions, and a drop-in day centre. As the circumstances of the Vietnamese community in the UK evolves, we are making plans to offer the services that the new generation require. We are looking for additional Trustees to help us achieve this vision.
