Thank you to everyone who donated gifts and goodies for our fundraising raffle at The Cambridgeshire Care Home, summer party "Beside the Seaside"

We raised £754.00, an amazing total, to be split between Residents chosen charities:
The Sick Children's Trust
Alzheimer's Research UK
Great Shelford Support Group
Cancer Research UK and
Teenage Cancer Trust

12 wonderful hampers were filled and only one remains unclaimed.

The Cambridgeshire Care Home Residents have been busy this week.

Their variety of get togethers have included, aperitif with a singalong, garden walks looking for Pepsi the Cat and knit and knatter - headed by our Acting Home Manager, Tina, with a delicious Afternoon Tea.

What another wonderful week of activities and socialising.

There is still time to book your place at our very popular Dementia Awareness Workshop. Its free, refreshments, sandwiches and cake provided.

Please share with friends and family, all are welcome.

Our ever so popular Dementia Awareness Workshop is back on Saturday 5th September 2026 at 2.30pm.

This free community connection event is open to all who wish to learn more about how dementia affects those living with the different diagnosis of dementia's, learn new coping techniques and language.

Please RSVP by 1.9.2026 and please feel free to share this with your friends, neighbours, family and colleagues who may need to learn and understand more in order to care for their loved ones. All are welcome to our safe space.

Yay Performing Pets came to see us at The Cambridgeshire Care Home this week with the most adorable Budgies and Cockatiels. We do love a visit from Amber xx

Lots of reminiscing with Residents and staff who had these beautiful birds as family pets. So nice to hear such wonderful stories🥰❤️❤️

Our thanks to everyone who donated goodies for our Summer Tricky Tray fundraiser and who bought tickets.

We put together 12 beautiful hampers and raised £754.00 to be divided up and sent to 5 brilliant charities, as chosen by our Residents.
