The BMA has called off the unnecessary resident doctor strikes which were due to start on Monday 15 June.

This is good news for patients, staff and the NHS.

We'll work with the BMA over the coming days to finalise the details of the deal before it is put to their members.

A unique opportunity for children and families in our community:

An outdoor learning experience called “Fix the Farm.”

This will take place on a real agricultural farm, where the farmer has identified a few practical problems that our CERC children may be able to solve using robotics, electronics, coding, engineering, or other technologies.

Date: Sunday, 17th May, Time: 1 PM

This is an extraordinary opportunity for children and families to:

o Learn directly from a real farmer on a working agricultural farm
o Experience hands-on outdoor learning
o Understand real-world problems and explore technological solutions
o Volunteer and engage with the farming environment first hand
o Give children and families a chance to volunteer on a real farm
o Learn first hand from a real agricultural environment
o Take part in a unique outdoor event
o Build valuable experience for future CVs and academic growth

This is the list from the farmer that needs to be fixed in the firm.

1. Make the chicken pen move automatically using solar energy

2. Maintain the correct temperature levels in the poly tunnel for food growing (ventilation in the summer, heating in the winter)

3. Automatic irrigation systems for food growing (water collection, storage, irrigation, fertiliser)

4. Composting and possible bio-digestion of food waste

5. Insect farming for protein

This is the type of practical exposure and inspiration that no classroom teaching can fully provide.

Thank you for supporting children’s learning and innovation in our community. Please send an email to [email protected] if you know anyone interested.

30th April afternoon - due to unforeseen sudden GP absence and the loss of a high number of appointments, we will be unable to offer appointments today without triage through our Duty Doctor and for acute needs only.

Please do not ask to be seen as an emergency on the day, unless you have a genuine acute medical need, this prevents us from dealing with patients who really do.

You may be offered appointments with our extended access provider at an alternative location, these are an extension to our service and if you are able to travel please to consider using these appointments.

You will be asked questions by reception as this will help the duty doctor triage your case and allocate the appropriate clinical appointment safely.

You can receive helpful information and advice through your local pharmacy and on the NHS website.

Outside of our working hours you can contact NHS 111 or the walk in centre at St Neots between specific times as per the link on our website.

Local Services A range of NHS services are available in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. You can help us help you by accessing the right service at the right time.
