I know we all dislike the โbefore photosโ and pulling facial movements is a little weird when thereโs an iPad staring back at you, but these photoโs are incredibly important in helping us establish a true baseline of where we started.
As we begin to subtly tweak and enhance our features, we naturally become much more aware of certain movements, asymmetries, or lines. In most cases, these were already present before treatment โ we simply hadnโt noticed them before.
Having these before photos allows us to look back objectively and identify the small movements or lines that have always been there, rather than assuming they are new.
Itโs also very common to experience โperception drift,โ where over time we feel we look no different to when we first started treatment. Revisiting your before photos can be a great reminder of your genuine starting point and a valuable way to appreciate what consistent, appropriate treatments have achieved.
On a side note, these images are never shared without your consent and are stored safely within your patient file. ๐ค
