Today we were delighted to welcome staff from Oaklands Care Home - Barchester Healthcare and Cambridge City Crematorium & Cemetery to our Dispelling the Myths seminar.

The day began with a guided tour of the crematorium, Jenny explained the procedures involved in the crematoria, while addressing some of the most common myths and misconceptions surrounding the profession.

Next we took everyone to Weyman’s for a tour of our branch where attendees got to see the complete journey of someone in our care, from the moment they are brought into our care, through every stage of the funeral arrangements and preparation, to the funeral service itself, and finally the ashes process, including how ashes are respectfully managed and returned to families.

Our aim is to give those working in the care industry a greater understanding of what happens to the people they have cared for after they leave their care. By removing the mystery surrounding death and funerals, we provide an open and honest insight into what happens behind the scenes in our funeral homes and crematoria, helping to answer questions and dispel common myths.

Thank you to Etheldred House Care Home - Excelcare for warmly welcoming Janine for a flower arranging session.
This was our first activity visit, and we were made to feel so welcome by both the residents and staff. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the activity, creating some beautiful floral displays together. We had a lovely afternoon and look forward to visiting again soon.

Yesterday, Janine visited Langdon House for an afternoon of flower arranging with the residents. It was wonderful to spend time together, sharing creativity, conversation, and plenty of smiles.

Thank you to all the staff for making Janine feel so welcome. We hope everyone enjoys the beautiful floral displays that were created during the session.
