Today, Maria, Elf and Mel visited Lake View Bereavement Centre; a new crematorium in Cambridgeshire.
As the name suggests, the crematorium is set overlooking a beautiful lake, making for a peaceful and lovely setting.
It was a great opportunity to catch up with familiar faces from the local funeral industry, introduce ourselves to some new people, and make some great new connections along the way.
A really enjoyable day and a great chance to see the new facilities.

Another successful car meet at Fenland Crematorium .
It was fantastic to see everyone come together once again, with an amazing selection of cars and a great atmosphere throughout.

A huge thank you to Scott for organising the event and to everyone who came along and supported it.

Even better, all money raised from the event goes to Andys Man Club, helping to support men’s mental health and wellbeing.

Out of the many heartfelt tributes following the sad news of Dolly Parton’s passing, one particular message has truly stood out to us.

Dolly had planned for her own passing to be announced by her nephew, Bryan Seaver, years before it became a reality. The result was a deeply personal and poignant message, delivered by someone who knew and loved her not just as an international icon, but as Aunt Dolly.

In our profession, we understand how important it can be to make sure a final farewell reflects the person at the heart of it. Dolly’s thoughtful planning of this announcement feels like a powerful reminder that even in death, there can be space for personality, love, faith and the wishes of the person we are saying goodbye to.

Of all the tributes we have seen, this one stands out to us because it feels so personal. A final message, shared exactly as she had wished, by someone she had chosen to tell the world.

Dolly touched millions of lives, but in this moment, we were reminded of the woman behind the legend and the importance of those closest to us carrying forward our story. 🤍

Today we’re saying a very fond farewell to Rob at our sister branch, Ely Funeral Service , as he heads off to an exciting new job.

Rob will be greatly missed by the whole team. He built a wonderful rapport with the families he looked after, always treating them with kindness, care and genuine compassion.

We’re incredibly grateful for everything Rob has brought to the team and wish him every success and happiness in his new role.

Good luck, Rob. You’ll certainly be missed!

The family came to us with the wonderful idea of placing a chalkboard alongside their loved one, featuring a special quote that meant something to them. We listened to their wishes and helped bring their idea to life, making their loved one’s final journey truly unique.

A funeral doesn’t always have to follow tradition. When a coffin is carried on the hearse, it doesn’t always have to be surrounded by traditional flowers. There are so many ways we can personalise a final journey to reflect the person you love.

Mel brings so much humour and laughter to the team, always finding a way to make her colleagues smile and brighten up the day. She’s also always up for getting involved in our community activities, bringing enthusiasm and fun wherever she goes.

Behind that wonderful sense of humour, Mel is incredibly dedicated to what she does. She takes great pride in looking after everyone’s loved ones with the utmost care, respect and dignity, making sure each person is treated as they deserve.
