Girton Parish Council are developing a wonderful new scheme called Benchmarks where memorial benches around the village include a QR code, where anyone can access information about the person the bench was dedicated to, stories about their life, and why the bench was placed there in particular.
It is still being developed but I was honoured to be included in the unveiling of a new bench celebrating the life of the incredible Kenneth 'Sam' Clift being installed on Redgate Road.

Wonderful day at on Saturday. I was really proud to represent both Girton Parish Council and Arlington Manor Care Home. Met some lovely people, with lots of interest in improving the local community and even managed to take 1st place in Girton Bowls Club competition 😁
