Born today in 1820, Florence Nightingale changed the way the world understood care.

She showed that care is not just kindness. It is observation, prevention, safety, comfort, courage and dignity.

Her legacy lives on when a carer notices someone is not quite themselves.

When a safe home, a warm meal, a clean room, or a kind word helps someone remain independent.

When dignity is protected in the most personal place of all: someone’s own home.

Today, on Florence Nightingale’s birthday, we honour her life and the dedicated care workers who carry those same values into people’s homes every day.

You have to hear this. ✨

I just found the Homecare’s Got Talent Choir music video and it gave me chills in the best way. These caregivers aren’t just incredible at what they do every day, they’re overflowing with talent and heart, and it shows in every second of the song.

Their story makes it even better. This project brought together people who spend their lives caring for others and let them shine on a stage of their own. The energy, the voices, the joy… it’s all real.
