That's the sun gone down on another summer of medical cover. We have provided medical cover for thousands and thousand of people over the last 6 week. From Musical Festivals to Agricultural shows. From Maes B at the National Eisteddfod to Welsh Prem football games it's been a busy one.
Before we can blink we are already back to our indoor events!
Thank you to all the staff that worked over the summer and continued to represent Proactive with professionalism ❤️

We've had a great couple of days at Euro Commercials - Mercedes Benz at their sites in Cardiff and Avonmouth. Two very engaging groups that were treated to difficult scenarios at the end with Dave as a confirmation of learning. Well done all and thank you for the warm welcome 👊

When an event finishes without a medical emergency making headlines, it's easy to overlook the medical team.

Lots of suppliers might receive a public thank you. The entertainers get the applause. The organisers are congratulated. But the medical providers often quietly pack away their kit and head home without being mentioned.

And that's okay.

Because the best medical teams are often the ones you barely notice.

They're constantly assessing risks, preparing for the unexpected, reassuring those who need help, and working seamlessly in the background so that everyone else can focus on enjoying the event.

Our job isn't to be the centre of attention. It's to be ready when it matters most, giving event organisers the confidence and peace of mind that whatever happens, there's a professional team there to handle it.

Yes there might be quieter times at the event where we might be handing plasters out for a blister, applying an ice pack to someone who's gone over on their ankle or cleaning a graze up. In reality anyone could do that it's when it's gone wrong whether it be medical or trauma related that we need to step up and make sure the best treatment and outcome is completed for this patient. That's what event organisers are paying for.

Sometimes, the quietest teams make the biggest difference.

Great weekend finished off by providing medical cover for the WWE Wrestlers and the crowd in Cardiff!! Amazing atmosphere and a quality show put on by great athletes

We had a great bunch from Nuaire , 7 Steel The Royal Mint CMB Engineering and St Mary's school with us at the training centre over the last couple of days. Concentrating mostly on Medical on Day 1 and Trauma on Day 2. Congrats everyone on smashing the exam paper. Qualified for another 3 years 👊

Another busy week ahead with Training and Medical Cover. Starting tomorrow with the QNUK First Responder course, part being held at our centre and part on site of the customers to hold specific scenarios at their premises. This is what training is all about, giving the delegates the best equipment to practice on and giving them a great learning experience.

What would most people not do just 6 weeks after surgery… sign up for a 10k? 🫣

But here I am.

Seven years later (maybe long enough to forget how hard the first one felt), I’ve decided to lace up my trainers again and take on the Cardiff 10k for

This time, it means so much more.

As most of you know, we lost our dad 10 months ago to Alzheimer’s. But one of the hardest parts is that we actually lost him long before that. Alzheimer’s slowly takes the person you love, piece by piece, memory by memory. Watching that happen is something I wouldn’t wish on anyone.

I’m running because I don’t want other families to go through the same. I’m running for the memories we lost, and for the ones we’ll never get back. I’m running in the hope that one day, we can live in a world without dementia. Running might be a stretch. But I will get around even if I have to crawl over the line 🤣

I know times are tough for everyone right now, so please don’t feel any pressure to donate — even sharing this would mean so much to me 💙
